Good food but a little pricey.

Had eaten there a few years ago when it was named Blue Onion. Tried lunch this year and enjoyed the fish tacos. There were three tiny fish tacos for $14 -- delicious but expensive.

After being in the snow all day we were very hungry and struggled a bit to find a good place to eat in this area that wasn't already packed. We found Spindleshanks on TA and with no real expectations were delightfully surprised to receive immediate seating, great service and excellent food. I suppose all things are relative, but in my... It was promising when we walked in for dinner. A couple of guys playing the guitar and singing songs in the entryway between the dining room and the bar. Quite ambience in the dining room since it was an early weeknight. The bread was good. A friend and I shared a burger and fries which was ok, and the pasta... More

We went during Happy Hour - prices were good but food was nothing special. Garlic chili calamari was fine but the hummus was dry (not creamy) and the pita was crisp (felt more stale than like a pita chip). Service was average. The restaurant could be a hot spot with it's prime location for people driving in to Incline Village... More

Enjoyed the meal very much. Friendly staff who is there when needed but not over bearing. Atmosphere was very good. Great menu. A little pricey but not over the top.

Most reviews mention the old location. Yes, it was special. I have beautiful memories there! It doesn't make the new location less special: the service is great(understandably slower when busy or less staff on the floor), everybody is always attentive and nice and the food...omg! There was ONE time when I thought my dish was over cooked. Could have been... More

We ate here immediately following a race and everyone was starving. Although we were between meal times -- the bartender seated us in the bar area and immediately took our orders (since folks were fading) and brought us our food very quickly. The burgers were great and the service was outstanding. Very friendly local establishment.

This is a nice, neighborhood bar/restaurant with great service. We thought the food was very good and they were able to accommodate my gluten/dairy free needs. The waiter was very helpful with tips on the menu and also about the area. This is the only waiter that talked about the extended drought in the area. Technically you will not be... More

We came on on the later side on a weeknight and the restaurant was not busy. We ordered a few appetizers and it took FOREVER for them to come out...and they were not difficult ones to prepare. The food was fine when it finally came out, nothing impressive. The waiter took my boyfriend's drink before he was finished...a big pet... More

Breakfast is fantastic. Sit outside if the weather allows. They have plenty of shaded areas and you can watch the golfers tee off.
