Enjoyed great fish tacos, lake view and good service.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch on a leisurely Sunday in King's Beach at Spindleshanks. Had not been there before so wasn't sure what to expect. The bistro/bar has a nice outdoor deck that provides a view of North Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, as well as the next door golf course. My... read more

I love raw oysters and eat them all the time. I did not expect to see them at Spindleshank's for a buck apiece, and wasn't sure if I would like them, so I ordered one. It was great. So I ordered a dozen. That's when they brought me a plate with about 8 oysters, and 4 half oysters. It was... More

I am a very good cook and I would prefer to stay home and eat, but tonight I wanted to take my son and his girlfriend to a nice place for dinner. The problem with the service was not the waiter, but was the fact that the waiter was the only one working the restaurant. Granted it was a slow... More

Ovi our waiter was one of the most attentive food service staff members we have ever had. He made our celebration a truelly memorable affair.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the burgers. We were seated in the small room with a view of the lake, and it is cold but still a nice spot. The service was attentive and the prices were reasonable.

As I had never dined at this restaurant in their prior location, I cannot compare the two as most other reviewers have. As for the here and now, basically unimpressed. We were seated in a side room with a few tables close to one another and the room itself was very cold. The other 4 diners each ate with their... More

Still great food & service & the address is correct on this page. Just don't want you all to get lost & confused. This is a favorite dinner spot for locals. Don't miss the Tuesday night happy hour. Our favorites are the oysters bienzo & seared ahi. We miss their former BYOB Wed. wine nights but the happy hour deals... More

The restaurant hosted our family and friends for a milestone birthday dinner. 10 people in all. The staff took a birthday cake from a local bakery and enhanced it with additional sauces to make it special for our birthday lady. The food was first class. The sole was execellent, as well as the clams and flank steak. The new location... More

Tried out the new location for brunch and was extremely disappointed. Now we had only been to the old location for dinner, never breakfast or lunch, but is was always VERY good. And while the setting on the golf course is lovely I really don't care. The breakfast was not even passable. We have eggs benedict and an omelet. No... More

Hadn't been since the move. Saw some negative reviews but went anyhow after a friend I trust said he thought they had it ironed out. He was right. Good service, good wine and good food. It was Halloween eve so it was full, Still good. Vegies were especially well done. not overcooked. Fish was fresh. Four happy diners.
