The Boathouse has a new owner and new menu. Tables on the pier provide a Lake Tahoe view that is beautiful, as always. The food is very good & the wine list has interesting selections. The service is friendly and professional. The combination of all these factors makes for a wonderful dining experience.

Sitting outside on the covered dock is a great place since you are on Lake Tahoe. Friendly staff, good variety on the menu. We had Filet Mignon and it was yummy. The wine list is small but adequate. Great spot for just a cocktail, lunch or dinner

The best clam chowder we have ever eaten. Boathouse Mules are an excellent cocktail. Service was friendly and on time. Prices are a bit steep as is the rest of Tahoe

Great view of Lake Tahoe from the deck seating. Friendly wait staff. Attentive, but not hovering. Recommend their fish and chips - worth the wait as they cook them to order. Spinach/strawberry salad was good - as advertised. Suggest you use the vinaigrette for the dressing.

July 17, 2015 - Vacationer from Texas. Restaurant was recommended by someone at the grocery store. It was our last night in Tahoe before flying back to Texas so we REALLY wanted a good meal. Our luck with food during our week of vacation in Tahoe was suffering a bit, so we were excited to get a good recommendation of... More

This was my family's first trip to Lake Tahoe so we looked for a place to eat where we would be able to sit outside and enjoy the view. This restaurant definitely was that but it fell short in the dining experience. As we ordered from a very limited menu only to be told they longer serve some of the... More

We were attracted to this restaurant - now called The Boathouse - mainly for its fabulous location right on the edge of the lake. The cocktails were delicious. Sadly that is where the good experiences ended. The starters were very mediocre, the main course was really not good at all. The Mahi Mahi Taco were mean and tasteless. The short rib... More

Mixed bag at this place. The view is spectacular. Right on the lake. Part of the restaurant is an old boat house. Food was excellent and presented well. Small menu but varied. Grilled corn with cheese sprinkled on it. Hamachi Tostadas. Pork loin. Duck Breast. All tasty. No dessert though! Staff was friendly but often underexperienced. Almost no knowledge of... More
