This North Shore anchor has long been a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The food is consistently good and lends itself to a sophisticated palate without going so far to alienate those looking for the classics. Happy Hour is indeed Happy and fun, the bar can be wall to wall standing room only. Definately reserve a table as soon... More

A little bit pricy but fine food and ambience. Filet mignon and the brownies for dessert were excellent, draft beer was really good too.

How do they do it? We come here whenever we get to Tahoe ( not enough) we go for a special night out. Service is well above the Tahoe norm. Food portions and tastes are terrific. We were blown away by the carrots roasted over coffee beans, the smoked trout, ETC.

The menu currently shown on TripAdvisor differs somewhat from what our party of six ordered from at the end of November 2013. However, the food and service quality here is consistent and top-notch. I had a roast duck dish -- something I frequently order at restaurants -- and Wolfdale's version was probably the best I've ever had. Other members of... More

We come to Tahoe every year in the autumn and good restaurants that remain open in this "slack" season are hard to come by. Wolfdale's has an interesting menu with fine dining classics and Asian influences. We had the Ahi Cones, and Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps to start and they are great! Then on to a Miso Glazed Sea Bass... The menu at Wolfdale's offers some tasty looking entrees, but we skipped that and stayed at the top of the menu, which is small plates, salads and starters. Yes it is a little pricey, but the restaurant delivers on the value. Our veteran server, Bob, helped us organize about four courses worth of them, making a memorable meal on our... More

Wolfdale's is tucked in along the north shore of Lake Tahoe with a bit of a view of the lake. It is obviously a popular spot for both visitors and locals as we discovered with standing room only at the bar and a short wait after our reservation time. This was tempered by a welcoming bartender named Bob who came... More

Wolfdale's pretty much exemplified top-notch dining in an area like North Lake Tahoe. Most of the competition is (at best) over-priced, not really top quality ingredients or prep, and suffering service issues - and dependent on location, location, location to rescue them. By contrast, Wolfdale's starts with a great location, then layers on top quality ingredients, outstanding preparation, and excellent... More

We are in Lake Tahoe for 10 days - ate at Wolfdales tonight. The setting - our table for 2 overlooking the water- was great. We started with the chicken dumplings and tuna poke cones. Both were terrific.. They make a nice martini as well! I had the halibut which was so good we may cancel elsewhere and return to... More

We went here July 16th, after eating at Jake's. we had the venison, which was excellent (and not gamely at all), and the seafood stew. Nothing outstanding about the stew. We ordered a 2009 tempranillo, which was the best value on the wine list, and it was excellent. The blueberry crisp was very small for the price. The waitress was... More
