My friends and I stumbled upon this gem on a drive around Lake Tahoe last weekend. They were Octoberfesting just across the highway, and these guys were packed on a Saturday afternoon, but they did a commendable job. Really fast food (and nom nom) and pretty quick beverages. Just a perfect spot with the patio right beside the river. Felt... More

My husband and I stopped for lunch after checking out the Octoberfest across the street. He realized after we walked up that he had eaten there before while driving around Tahoe. He recommended the BBQ pork sandwich so that is what I ordered. I got it with cheese and avocado on top which was tasty. He ordered the Elk burger... More

After hiking all day we stopped here for lunch. They have a cute patio right on the river with a small bar and lunch tables. We had the Avocado Burger with onion rings and the Chicken Strips. We were very hungry but we could not eat even half of our food. The quality was so poor. It tasted like everything... More

The parking lot was packed when we pulled in which we knew was a good sign. So we were pleasantly surprised when we got a table for 5 immediately. Looked like the bar was standing room only with locals watching sports. Even a bride and groom were celebrating at the bar. Loved the mountain tavern atmosphere. Our server was friendly,... More

We really enjoyed our food here, came back a day later and ordered carryout bbq ribs to take back to our cabin in Tahoe Vista. The lemonade and vodka drink was terrific. Beautiful lication along the Truckee River and near the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Best burger bun I've ever had! Lots of cheese, and the hand formed patty is bigger than the bun! When does that happen! Rustic atmosphere, big old timber chunky tables either sit riverside or inside. Our friends had the Bison burger - they enjoyed there's as well!

River patio is to the west of the parking lot and has a separate host/hostess to check in with if you want to sit out there. We had beer, a Moscow mule, beer battered onion rings (yum!), burgers (great!) and Hawaiian pork sliders (yummy!). Great spot off the Truckee River and really chill. Was a great end to our day... We went on a Sunday night, and it was modestly crowded. There were unoccupied patio tables that were not yet cleared from the last customers, but we were told that the patio wait would be over 30 minutes (?), but inside seating was immediate. Although we did not see anyone else waiting, we sat inside. The food was good, but... More

We arrived on a busy Fri night. There was a 30 minute wait for the lakeside patio, but we took the option to sit outside near the street. Service was very good. We enjoyed the fried zucchini, elk burger, turkey melt and tater tots. The burger was another story -- it was ordered med-rare, but was served well done, bordering... More
