Since 1978, Fire Sign Cafe has been a family owned and operated Breakfast and Lunch restaurant. We pride ourselves on our extensive menu, full of homemade food. Our restaurant has been a local favorite since it opened. It has been featured in several publications such as Sunset Magazine, as well as shown on Rachael Ray's, "Tasty Travels". Our great service and even better food are what keep people coming back!

Best breakfast

The wait can be as long as an hour but it is well worth it. The wait staff is friendly and the food is plentiful. We arrived around 10 so our waitvwas not that long

We have been to this restaurant many times over the past few years. It always serves a reliably good breakfast. I don't even mind the long wait. they have an annex where you can get coffee while you wait and a pleasant lawn area with seating. Lots of folks hanging out in the beautiful weather while waiting. We will be... More

Breakfast comes with our room so it is so easy to just walk to the lodge and have a decent meal. But with all the hoopla around Firesign and the overall great food we have been having in California I felt we should give it a try. Overall it was very good. Wife had the pancakes with the compote extra... More

Best breakfast in Tahoe. Staff is very nice and happy to be where they are at. The coffee cake was delicious and hot from the oven. Come early to beat the crowd.

The food looked great but you don't want to sit outside. Our table was constantly joined by bees and birds who would eat our food right off the plate. When we asked if we could have one item removed from our bill because it had a bee on in for most of our meal, we were refused because "it wasn't... More

Today 4 of us ate here for brunch as I have really enjoyed eating there before.First the waiter lost our order completely which required a further 20 minute wait, then he mixed up my friends order and there was little compensation on the bill,The waiter also forgot the Hot Sauce, the butter and there was no cutlery until we asked. The bees... We stopped here last year on my first trip to Tahoe. It was great! Since then, we have gone to it 2 more times. I have eaten breakfast and lunch there. Great home made salsa and having chips instead of fries is a fun idea. Food is Great and the service is just as good.

We all had the Breakfast Menu. Lots of choices and we were very very satisfied. Plus the prices were extremely reasonable. What made even better was the staff especially our waitress who kept coming back to our table to see if we needed anything else. Great service!! Great Food!!!

Located in Sunnysde, just south of Tahoe City on the West shore. Great Eggs Benedict, Huevos Rancheros, freshly made muffins etc. I am a local of 40 years and this is absolutely the best breakfast place on the North shoes of Tahoe. They also do a great lunch. Crowded on weekends and especially on Sunday. Mid week the crowds are... More
