Since 1978, Fire Sign Cafe has been a family owned and operated Breakfast and Lunch restaurant. We pride ourselves on our extensive menu, full of homemade food. Our restaurant has been a local favorite since it opened. It has been featured in several publications such as Sunset Magazine, as well as shown on Rachael Ray's, "Tasty Travels". Our great service and even better food are what keep people coming back!

The Fire Sign Cafe is the best restaurant for breakfast and lunch. It is frequented by the locals and that says it all. It has been around for a long time. The food is awesome and there is a lot of it. Most dishes can be split if you so desire.

We got there about 10:00am and had to wait about 20 minutes but the receptionist gave us coffees and were able to sit outside on a bench on a nice day. The inside is has tight corners and is kind of crowded but a friendly vibe. (The men's restroom location is in the small hallway where the employees are constantly... More

We passed up on the hotel's free continental breakfast 2 out of the 3 mornings we were at Lake Tahoe because the coffee, juice & breakfasts here were SO good! From eggs Benedict, to French toast to the Spanish omelet - it was all fantastic. Pricey, but so much food it counted as breakfast & lunch for us, which made... More

Our family comes to Tahoe City every year. And every year I say I am going to write this much deserved review and I never seem to get to it. Well they are so very deserving of the 5 stars I have given them, so I am making sure to write it this time. We eat here several times each... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. My wife Christi, and I have proudly owned Fire Sign for over 35 years now and feedback such as this is why we are still in the business!! To know we have become part of your family's vacation tradition makes all the long hours worth it. Thanks again!! More

We stopped here by chance while on a private tour. This best sandwiches ever. I had turkey pesto and my friend had the tuna. I would definitely eat both of these sandwiches again !! Great stop for lunch !!

First place we went on our week stay in Tahoe...that was on purpose so we could go back before we leave. The food was so fresh, the service amazing and lots of happy trendy people. We loved it. We sat outside and inside was cozy too.

Went based on reviews and local recommendations. The food was very good, but not my favorite breakfast location in Tahoe City. Lots of great restaurant options in Tahoe City and this should definitely be on the list.

My wife and I found this place while visiting Lake Tahoe. While the breakfast prices tend to run a little higher than norm for bacon and eggs, my wife LOVED their gluten free bread that they buy from a bakery in Truckee. All in all, a very worthwhile place to stop for a hearty breakfast. Oh, and there's a coffee... More

This is a cozy restaurant and the breakfast menu is varied. The pancakes are HUGE and 2 are more than enough for a hearty eater. Huevos Ranchero is delicious and very filling. Make sure you get there early or you'll have a long wait.
