Let's get something straight, this place isn't 5 star, fine dining. This is a cosy little bar with delicious pub menu. This place was just across the road from the hotel, so we decided to give it a try. Just the ticket, after a cold, hard day on the slopes. My partner had the fat cat burger and house soup.... More

Just called in here for a light lunch. It has soups, salads, Burgers, sandwiches and pasta and we had the Fat Cat Burger and fries which was beautifully cooked medium rare and tasty and just "hit the spot" accompanied by a local beer. Service was friendly and efficient and would recommend.

Saw the sign that the Fat Cat Café is now serving breakfast and decided to check the menu. Looked good for lunch as well. I had the Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Avocado sandwich on toasted sourdough. Very good, indeed, with a little side salad. The service was excellent and food came fast. From the table, we could see a little... More

Just like some of the reviews have said, Fat Cat Cafe is nothing to speak of from the outside but you'll be happy you stopped in. After walking around town, some friends and I wanted to catch a quick bite and happened upon Fat Cat. The ambiance was casual and eclectic; the hostess was friendly and answered our questions about... More

It was good sized and the beef they use is organic which really made a difference!! They had tons of beer on tap a local band... More

My wife and I were driving around Lake Tahoe several days ago and when we got to Tahoe City, we thought we would try to find something to eat, with no recommendations given. The easiest parking spot, and maybe only parking spot at that point in time, was at the Fat Cat Cafe. It was 1:00 and I was ready... More

Service was very good and the food was tastey. I had the turkey sandwich with cranberry relish and harvatti cheese and my hubby had the French dip. Both were great.

The food came out late and I also noticed that the waitresses all have their hair down. I wonder how much of the hair touched our plates of food. I didn't eat anything. Also rude service; slapped the bill down and expected us to pay immediately. Don't go here.

We entered the (Dead Cat Cafe) as it will be ever known by us. The noise was overwhelming. The food turned out to be atrocious. The French Dip sandwich I had (there were only two entrees on the dinner menu) was very small - on a bun which I couldn't identify. The sandwich came with an "aus juice" dip. It... More

We had been driving for a long time, stuck in construction traffic coming out of South Lake Tahoe. We were tired, hot and hungry. We took the first parking space we could find, and discovered it required that you do business with one of three businesses. One of those businesses was Fat Cat Bar and Grill. It looked like a...
