We found the Fat Cat on a walk around Tahoe City and decided there and then to go for it rather than try anything fancy in some of the other places. We were not disappointed. When you walk in it looks like just anther bar - wooden furniture and floor, televisions with the ubiquitous baseball etc. No-one eating though. We... More

We were looking for a place to eat lunch that would accomodate a large family of 7 & were pleasantly surprised that this place did. We were even more surprised to find that we could order breakfast until 2 PM! The food was excellent, hot, fresh, & made to order. Parking is tough ANYWHERE in Tahoe City, but we found... More

Just ate there tonight, wed around 6:30. Got a seat immediately. Ordered beer and the mushroom swiss burger, husband ordered the hickory bacon burger with sweet potato fries. He got an anderson valley summer solstice beer and it was DELICIOUS! i was sad I got the ale instead of his beer! Fries were AWESOME and the burgers were quite yummy.... More

My husband and I visited this cafe/bar because we liked the name on the sign as we passed by. We were so glad we went in! The bartender, Quinn, enjoys making drinks and blending organic ingredients. He made me a wonderful concoction of fresh peach slices, simple syrup, rum w/mint...DELISH! I loved the energy of the cafe. Seemed a lot... More

We had an excellent dinner before the bar and night time crowd came in. Great burger, great blackened chicken sandwich, great mac and cheese, great caprese sandwich and fries all around. The restaurant area is small.

Had a party of six all very hungry for breakfast so we stopped into the Fat Cat Cafe. So glad we did, because it was probably the best breakfast I've ever had! It was a beautiful, sunny day, so we sat outdoors on the front patio where we could see the lake and all the Tahoe City happenings. We decided... More

The menu is very limited. However, the service was really good and they do their best to accommodate. We had a big group (9) and Chris, the server, did a wonderful job of keeping up with everyone. It looks very much like a place the locals would choose when they hang.

Did not fell like a stranger when I went into Fat Cat - Service was very homey and friendly - a decent selection of brews, and some tasty treats - we had the southwest egg rolls. Gave some tips on where to go - we were a little tired, but looked like some good music was going to happen too... More
