Great food, not so great service.

We were staying nearby and found this place on Yelp. The reviews were good, so we decided to dine here. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait, but ended up waiting about an hour. The restaurant is really small. You feel a little cramped, and there is no where to wait to be seated. A... read more

Great atmosphere, excellent staff and half price appetizers during happy hour. Everything is made from scratch, all the way down to the sauces. Can't get any better than that!

With breakfast served until 2pm, this place immediately moved up on my list. Good food, personable and friendly service -- all surrounded by the beauty of North Lake Tahoe. That was an impulse stop for me and a couple of friends on a drive around the lake (I do have a couple of fat cats at home, so I couldn't... More

I don't usually go to so much trouble as to email an establishment but I thought the owner should know that my friends and I (6 of us) walked into the Fat Cat at 8:40 last Thursday (New Years Day). I imagine that this is the busiest week of the year for restaurants in Tahoe, which is why I was... More

We had seen this before on our dog park trips, and we decided to give it a try. It is a sports bar with a young crowd...with maybe 12 tables...and a bar. We ordered the blackened chicken club and the Philly cheese chicken...both delicious. The waitress was awesome! Very attentive! Happy hour is every day of the week... It was... More

Explored Tahoe City on foot and checked out the Thrift store next to Fat Cat then decided to lunch here. Pleasantly surprised...we shared the roast beef sandwich with fries. They charge for sharing a plate (extra $3?) but it worked for us and was plenty of food. Tasty food and fries. Pub atmosphere. Has bar with tv's but relaxed atmosphere.

Good selection of microbrews. The Fat Cat Mac n Cheese was incredible as was the BLT w/avocado. But, the corned beef sliders were just outright awesome. Good bar selection. Decent service. Reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed.

We tried this restaurant while on vacation and wasn't disappointed. Food was fresh and tasty. Didn't expect it to be like a sports bar since the name is cafe but it was alright.

Just completed a morning mountain hike and were starved...took a chance on this little bar looking place. Service was friendly and the sandwiches were sensational plus very quirky decoded place.

Non descript strip shopping center joint, but when we sat down and started watching the game we ordered soups, and wraps......real high quality. Good beer selections. Very friendly and attentive waitress. They need one more large TV.
