The Bean Scene is a nice relaxing place to spend some time on Murphy Street. It's good for both adults and children and my husband and I enjoyed coming here with our 3 little grandchildren---4 and under. They liked the eggs, bacon, and bagel plate---one plate was enough for all 3, and we enjoyed the coffee and pastries. The apple... More

It's amazing how everybusiness has one review that has to be so extreme. The previous review (what an embarrassment) is an example of someone with nothing constructive to say. I have gone to the Bean scene many times. As with any business, there are some visits which are better than other but what is consistent is the care and genuine... More

The coffee is burned, the pastries are stale, the service slow, and the inside of the shop is old--and not in a "cool coffee shop" way--in a "needs to be remodeled now" type of way. If these weren't enough drawbacks for you, it's likely that if you're on Murphy and looking to get a cup of coffee, The Bean Scene... More

Bean Scene is a fun comfy coffee place. It's at a great location on Murphy Avenue with such a cute street outside. The staff is very friendly. It's a great place to hang out with a good book or your computer/iPad or some friends. And the coffee etc is all really good! I personally think it's much better than Starbucks.

I love Bean Scene for the relaxed mornings. I like to go there in the morning to catch breakfast with my husband sometimes. Chai lattes are good. The bakery products are good too. Plenty of options and they accept level up payments too!

It's not a fancy place, but if you looking for a latte or other coffee drink in downtown Sunnyvale, it's the place to go

Nice local coffee shop in downtown Sunnyvale on charming Murphy street. The owner makes a great wet cappuccino, the employee not so much. The bagels are very light and crispy and delicious, they do sell out so go early. The shop can get very crowded on the weekends especially during the farmers market.
