An amazing experience - as previous reviewers have said, the owner is quirky, the place is a bit downmarket, but the food is fantastic. Very pricey though (we paid over $200 per person for a 6 course meal).

Full disclosure, I have never eaten at this place, but we tried to schedule a reservation and it was a complete disaster. My wife called and made reservations for our seventh year wedding anniversary on October 19th 2014. She made reservations for 6 pm for Sunday even though the person on the phone was rude. Keep in mind that we... More

Undoubtly the food is outstanding - and I know thats why you go - however if the Chef refuses to tell you what you're getting, what it costs and keeps pushing alcohol - its just not good enough. The food is awesome - however at a charge of 200 USD a head - you do expect some degree of service,... More

No menu, no warm welcome, not fancy at all but great experience. You sit at the bar, he asks if you have any food allergy then prepares sushi randomly based on his mood. He gives you a plate with some strange fish, you ask which fish is that? And then he goes it is 'food'. :) 'good food'. After some... More

I made reservation for 3 people. We came in an the owner started to shout at us that if we sit he will charge us for $100 each, and we can't order it is a 6 dishes he will choose for us. His eyes looked a bit crazy, and before he finished we left. Oh, an yes, out of 30... More

if you love actual Japanese sashimi, or you're into raw fish. this is the place to go! Yes it isn't the typical japanese sushi restaurant you'd go to with rolls and Japanese Udon (Americanized Japanese food), because Steve only serves TOP quality sashimi. It's always Chef's meny, meaning you don't get to choose what to eat. Don't question him, I'm... More

Full disclosure: I didn't actual eat there. But I did go in one of the few times I saw it open. I was the only (potential) customer in there. I assume it was the owner behind the counter. I asked for a menu but he either didn't have one or simply didn't want to show me the menu. He basically... More

Absolutely fabulous sushi, served with an absolutely American presentation. Not recommended for the Japanese or people who can't afford to blow $500 on dinner. Still, you can't beat the quality unless you go to Japan. Only 3 stars because of the ridiculous pricing.
