Kabul moved to downtown Sunnyvale. It's in a larger, lighter location just several blocks from Old Murphy St. Parking structure just across the street. A block from Caltrain station and buses as well. Salads, rice, spinach, squash, eggplant dishes for vegans. Plenty of meat options for non-vegans.

Excellent kebabs. Chicken, lamb, beef or salmon. Or get a combination. And you can get lamb loin chops on a skewer as well. We enjoy getting the "Kadu" as a side dish which is a type of roasted pumpkin, naturally a little sweet and goes well with most dishes.

I've loved going to Kabul's for business dinners. They have nice sized tables for large groups, the food is absolutely wonderful, and the service has been pretty good. They did have trouble with doing separate checks for 8 people -- we had to explain what to do. I especially like the seafood kabob, and the pumpkin dish. I understand it... More

I having been going to this place for some years. The food is always delicious, consistent, and satisfying portions make it worth the hefty price. I have never had a dish that I didn't like. The pumkin with meatsauce is incredible. The dumplings are really nice too. If you like ethinc food you need to come here and check it... More

Kabul just opened in one of the new developments in downtown Sunnyvale. I had never been to the previous location, but have made Dish Dash and House of Kebabs regular destinations since moving to the area about 7 years ago. The menu was similar, and the food was similarly excellent to Dish Dash. While busy, the restaurant felt less crowded... More

We had reservations at this restaurant last night. We walk in to the host/owner (?) yelling into to the phone to what appeared to be a customer. Didn't even acknowledge our existence. A staff noticed and came over. We told him we had reservations and he looks onto and empty page (?) and without even asking our name said 'oh,... More

We ate at this restaurant last night. We had made reservations and as we walked in the host/owner(?)Was busy arguing with what seemed like a customer on the phone. Didn't even acknowledge our existence. A staff member noticed us and came over, we told him we have a reservation. Looks over an empty book (?) and without asking our name... More

This restaurant has recently moved from El Camino Real (next to Grand Hotel) to Washington Avenue. I visited the restaurant for an early lunch. It got very crowded by noon. I had the lamb kebabs and salad and found the meat tender and cooked as requested, medium rare. Large portion and quite adequate for a large appetite!
