We had an excellent meal at Chelokabi recently. The food is excellent - the persian bbq chicken "Jujeh" kabab is always so moist and tender. The prices are reasonable and so is the wines by the glass. The restaurant gets fairly busy, but the waits have also been OK at 15-20 minutes. The atmosphere is important as the restaurant has... Awesome food, specially if you are a fan of kebab. Kebabs are soft and buttery. We tried desert twice but didn't like it. We have been there several times. I cannot say their service is good, usually service is good in busy times. Ambience is reasonable.

The food is very authentic and very well prepared. Prices are somewhat steep but this can be understood in light of difficulties obtaining the appropriate raw ingredients. Atmosphere is reasonable. Lively but not too noisy and a contrast, in its calm flow, to the gas station outside.

I'd try Chelokababi again to explore more of its Persian food. We'd heard that it was quite good, but with no guidance on the menu our choices were rather bland. Our waiter's English appeared to be limited and that affected our ability to ask and have questions answered. Service was polite and the setting quite nice.

We've been here several times, usually for lunch. When it's busy, the food is better, and the service can be iffy. When we go late, the service is better, but the food suffers. (strange!) Kebabs are the star dishes - very generous portions. Occasionally we've had the chicken over-cooked (hence 3 stars - otherwise, Chelokababi would be very close to... More

What's not to like? Great food, generous pour of fairly priced wine, and service that was on par. Really enjoyed this place and can be walked to easily from The Wild Palms Hotel.

We came for lunch. Three of us had chicken and beef kabobs, which they loved. I had the Middle Eastern platter (under appetizers). There are only a handful of times in life when a plate is set before you that simply delights the eyes - this was one such time. The colors, the textures, the appearance - that whole big... More

Chelokababi is a nice Persian restaurant where you can have a very good quality Persian food. The restaurant interior is designed to match traditional Persian restaurant. Very nice and welcoming staff. Not very pricey compared to other Persian restaurants in Bay Area.

I stayed in Sunnyvale during my recent trip to the bay area-asked the hotel reception where i can get something to eat and they recommended this place. What a great surprise. The food was really good especially the beet and chicken kebobs. You should definitely try both. The service was fast and i also felt like their prices were not... More

I have gone here for birthdays and other special occasions, and I am always impressed. The food, service and price is amazing. The kebab's, appetizers, beverages and desserts are all to brag about. Great food, we will be back again.
