Although the salad bar was good, the actual Mexican dishes we ordered were pretty darn average. The fried ice cream was not bad, but certainly not top shelf. Located in a rough part of town, and was not easy to find in the dark.

Visit Tuesdays and have the Albondigas. But leave some for me! The waitresses are helpful and friendly; you can eat in or get food to go. There are daily specials, and one of the few Mexican restaurants that serve whole beans (de la holla.)Rice and beans served with most meals.

I think they make their own tortillas though I'm not sure. My favorite dish is their New York Strip with Chipotle sauce.. yumm. Breakfast is always good, even their french...

I went with my brother for lunch and we ordered carne asada. It was more like beef jerkey. However, I am sure there are other things I would like just gotta keep trying. Chips and salsa were good.
Most Mexican restaurants are "Americanized," most bordering on fast food. This is one of the few exceptions in Stockton. I learned of it from old timers (pre-1998 in my case) and on my second visit, which prompted me to write this, I had their "albondigas" (meatballs) in a ranchero sauce which were to die for. Unfortunately, it is the Special...

Homey atmosphere, standard menu, with fun breakfast additions. I've had fish tacos and carnitas fajitas from here. The pork was particularly good.
yes, the decor could use an update, but the food is great and the family is fabulous! Nothing fancy, just honest traditional cooking.
This is the place us locals go to eat all the time. Great food. Great service. And regular faces. Say hi to the owner while ur there
