Beef Bean & Cheese Burrito was my first experience with Arroyo's, some 40+ years ago. I remember them when they were downtown on Center Street. I've grown up on this food and I must say, I love the fresh tortillas, I can eat them alone, just plain. I do regularly order the Beef Bean & Cheese Burrito dinner, NO I... More

We have been here a few times over a period of 4-5 years when visiting Stockton and have never been disappointed. The food is very consistent and great value. One word of caution, bring an appetite! The portions are huge.

I'll admit I haven't eaten at Arroyo's for some time. I love Mexican food and, as a California resident, I have a LOT of choices. My experience at Arroyo's was entirely average in every way. Nothing about it was exceptional and nothing made me want to come back. The short version? Their slogan says it all. If you want "a... More

This review is based on my last visit circa 2011... Ate here regularly from 2007-2010. Absolutely the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. The restaurant is wide open and clean and there is seating along the canal, which provides a nice view. From time to time they restaurant features a roaming Mariachi band (which I thoroughly enjoyed). The menu has... More

I was a guest of a college professor at the University of the Pacific and we came here after giving a presentation in his class. Good basic Mexican food, and very good quality. No frills atmosphere, but the food is good. I had the Taco, Enchilada, and Flauta Combination. Service is a bit slow. Salsa was on the thin side.... More

Wow what a great find. The food was served on large dinner plate. The food was piping hot and very good! I loved the portions and the staff was very nice. We came in 15 minutes before closing and they stayed open to allow us to enjoy our meal, we hadn't realized that we were keeping them from closing. The... More

Cheap beer during happy hour. Lots of screens to watch your favorite sporting event. Decent food with a friendly staff makes for an enjoyable dining experience. I would try it again if I was in the area. It is within walking distance from the Hilton, that's why I went there. It also has a nice view of a man-made lake.

The menu covers everything from enchiladas to chile verde...but what I always go for is the deep fried quesadilla. Order it with chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp...they take the raw dough, stuff it with meat and cheese, and then deep fry...it's not greasy, but crispy instead and covered with sauce. I don't want to know the calories, but it is... More

Heard so many good things about it but for me there was nothing special about it. The service was less than average and if you like a soda with your meal, I think they charge for refills because I sat there high and dry for the last part of my dinner. Must of been a bad night.

This restaurant is located in an area of offices. It overlooks Quail Lake and has great food. The brothers Arroyo use the same recipes their mother and probably their grandmother used at home. Authentic home cooked mexican food. Great variety. The bar is always energized, and sometimes there is live music. The only down side is sometimes parking is difficult... More
