Excellent Seafood and not from a chain; no cattle car feeling (Rush).Enjoyable atmosphere, friendly staff .If seafood is not one of your group's choice, then The BUDS BEEF will put a big smile on their face. Other selections will do the same.

If you like your fish breaded and fried you'll love this place. Hubby had the special- breaded snapper. Just ok. I had calamari parmigiana. It was good but the potato was just that. Baked and blah.

Walked in with reservation and were seated immediately. We went for the Tuesday lobster tail. Ordered a Ceasar salad , tasted like oil and vinegar, everyone at the table tasted it and said oil and vinegar asked the waitress she said that is their Ceasar. Service was non existent except for the Busboy that I recognized from Stockton Joes years... More

We recently visited relatives in nearby Manteca and they suggested this place for lunch. They were very busy during our weekday lunch there. They had a fairly extensive menu with something for everyone. We had a great waitress who never missed as beat, if a plate was empty it was promptly removed. Our group of 4 had a caesar salad, steak... More

I was traveling to Stockton on a business trip with other co-workers who had been in Stockton for several weeks prior to my arrival. I could not believe they had not been to Bud's. We ordered the fried oysters and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Both were very good and had a very good presentation. I ordered the Pesto stuffed... More

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. We had a delicious meal. We began with some delicious sour dough French bread and butter. Next we had the house salad. Great tasting salad dressing. I had Thousand Island and my husband had Bleu Cheese. We both felt the dressing was the best tasting dressing. My husband had rib eye... More

My husband and I had gone to Bud's a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. Granted the beer was out-dated to the fact I couldn't drink it and had to order another one which they graciously did not charge us for. We ordered the raw oysters which were delicious. At that point we decided we would go back... More

We stopped at Bud's because of the good reviews. The Menu looks great and we were looking forward to a good meal. It started well with great french bread and very good clam chowder, but then disappointed. We had the Petrale Sole which was over breaded and over cooked and the jambalaya which was bland and uninspiring with overcooked shrimp... More

I found a hair in my salad. The catfish was so greasy I could not eat it. Upside, went a 2nd time and the filet medallions were excellent. No hair in salad this time. Service is pretty good. This place gets busy, with an older crowd, and quite noisey but I would go back for the filet medallions.
