The ambiance surrounds you the minute you enter the restaurant and the service was immediate and warm. The selections of entrees is very "Greek" and incredibly savory. The wait staff was most attentive, the wine was perfect, and we all left very satisfied an very full. Wonderful meal in a wonderful spot!

I first encountered this restaurant when they catered for an event at which I was singing. We performers got to pick over the leftover buffet after the guests had left, and even the cold remainders were SO GOOD! I've gone back several times, with my friends, with my parents, and on a date. Their quasi Greek-Italian food never fails to... More

The pita bread is the best part. I liked the dinner but it was expensive for what it was. At least we had the Costco deal and it ended up being not so bad. I would go back again for sure because good Greek restaurants are hard to find!

I've been there 3 times, now, for different occasions included a business group private luncheon. The service is always friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. I always enjoy restaurants that are not part of a "chain" and this one is very popular among local Stockton-ites. The menu is varied and has something for everyone.

We have been to Papapavlos many times prior to their new location and love their food. The portions are smaller and pricier since they have moved (several years now), which is a dissapointment but to be expected in this economy. Wonderful giros! Lively bar...and resturant. Nice decor and ambience. Will return, not as often as before.

The food and chance to dine outside on an unseasonably pleasant night added up to a nice experience at Papapavlos. The size of the portions is amazing. I ordered lamb chops – the plate arrived with four generous sized chops and a nice array of fresh vegetables and rice. The other people in our party had the same experience with... More

We really like the ambience of Papapavlos, particularly out front (not so much in back, though it is quieter for groups). The menu is diverse and the food is quite fresh. The breads, hummus and vegetables are memorable. An enjoyable place to dine with friends.

This is the best restaurant in town. The service and food are excellent. Order the "Flaming cheese" - it is delicious and an exciting beginning to your meal. My favorite for lunch is gyro salad and for dinner is spanokopita. My husband loves the steak and the pasta. My sone loves the lamb. My daughter loves the pasta. Grilled vegetables... More

The food is ok but not all that. Portions are small and pricey and they don't offer enough healthy and vegetarian items. Even though the restaurant is clean and pleasant, the service can be stuck up and the clientele is a bit too arrogant and bourgeois for me.

I went for a dinner with some colleagues based on some recommendations from locals. I found the restaurant to have a great atmosphere and was quite busy for a Wednesday evening. That said, the disappointment started once our entrees arrived. I ordered the Papapavlos Combination and found it to be rather bland. My colleague ordered the Gyros plate which had... More
