Le Bistro is no longer in business. There's nothing else to say, but Tripadvisor requires a minimum of 100 characters, so this run-on sentence is designed simply to satisy that particular criterion.

In this town people come here for special occasions. Nice for that. Never a bad meal, some of the best meals ever. Variety on the menu. One of the more expensive restaurants in town. Regarded locally as the best place. People actually dress up to come here.

Food is pretty good. Used to be better, changed owners and chefs. Pricey. Located in Stockton, West of I-5. Great place to have meetings or banquets. Nice bar area too.

Pricey, but probably the best "French" Restaurant for 50 miles. Professional chef and a wide assortment of classic and innovative food. Has a hall for group meetings, a great wine selection and fantastic desserts.

In the late 90's and early 2000's, I used to go to Le BIstro all the time. It was always fabulous. Then they had some owner and chef change-ups, so I stopped going because it went downhill. Well, it's been about 6 years or so and I decided to go again with my family because we were hoping for amazing... More

French food? Don't really see it. The resturant has the potential but has trouble delivering. Inconsistent. Have been here off and on for more than 20 years and just keep wishing it would improve...we are usually dissapointed and go rarely now. One time I ordered a grand marnier souffle and someone mistakenly lined the dish in salt instead of sugar!... More

I highly recommend the fresh fish, which is always cooked as ordered and presented beautifully. The service is excellent, some of the better I've had in N. California. Once I hadn't been in for a year and they remembered us! The escargot are ok, onion soup gloppy, but some of the other starters are beautifully done. Recently, I have been 4... More

Fantastic food! Superior service! Delightful and delicious caesar salad made at our table. Also Bananas Foster made at our table. What a treat! Entrees also wonderful. A bit pricey, but very much worth it. You deserve an outstanding meal.

I used to belong to a local women's organization, Women's Success Group, which held its monthly lunch meetings at Le Bistro. Despite the fact that these were group lunches-- you know how those usually turn out-- I never had a bad meal at Le Bistro. And some of their dishes, especially deserts, were exceptionally good. I've not had a chance... More

After one visit to Le Bistro, I've added it to my list of top restaurants in the San Joaquin Valley. Its menu is modern and creative, its service is classically elegant yet entirely appropriate for Stockton, and its wine list has an impressive depth and breadth. On my last visit I felt comfortable in my work clothes, welcomed and well-served... More
