Walking a little back in time, this exceptional restaurant wins on every level, from staff, to service to food. What's not to like with popcorn ceilings? Worth the visit even if you are not near the airport.

Oh South San Francisco. Why do you not have the great restaurants of regular San Francisco? Sigh. It's definitely kinda loungey, so the decor is pretty outdated, almost cheesy. Food was OK classic American Italian. I ate the the decent-tasting food but probably wouldn't come back because it's nothing special.

The calamari is highly recommended. I thought it was some of the best I have had. The gamberi shrimp pasta was not that spectacular even though it was recommended as a favorite from the waiter

We saw this place when we arrived in SF, but it was closed on Mondays. We waited all week, and had high hopes the next Sunday before flying home. It was great food- a nice place. There were lots of locals there. Good menu. I felt a bit under dressed in jeans. They sat us in an old fashioned horse-shoe... More

Probably the best polenta and eggplant parmesan anywhere! They don't scrimp on the butter! Polenta made the way it's supposed to be creamy...yummy. Chicken parmesan is also delicious. Even the décor is out of the 70's. Italian food the way it used to be made.

Staying near the airport and was afraid we were missing out on the great food of San Francisco, but what a gem we found. The atmosphere was great, staff very friendly and efficient. Fast service, and most of all AMAZiNG food! I had the special which was an Italian chicken dish that was absolutely delicious. My dinner companion had spaghetti... More

We wanted to meet friends flying home from SFO so drove from San Jose to South San Francisco for dinner at Bertolucci's. First time at this restaurant and we had a great time. First the service we received was excellent. All the waitstaff were attentive, helpful and professional. The menu offers many good choices from appetizers to desserts. My hubby... More

Or so my colleague stated when we sat down and then again several times. While we were enjoying the perfectly prepared calamari; sure enough Sinatra came on and then it was Italian for him. For the rest of us, we were convinced right away. The decor takes you back about 30 years which just adds to the allure and ambiance.... More
