This would be good choice if you're in the area. Nothing extraordinary except for the size of the sandwiches. A bit messy to eat. I once made the mistake of getting the crab sandwich since it was a special and not served everyday, the crab they use are shredded crabsticks you get from the grocery store. Dutch crunch bread and... More

You'd think this place would be authentic, but they use cheap pressed loaf lunchmeats like the crap you get at Subway and they heat up their food in a microwave which is a big no no. Go to Lucca in the marina in SF for real sandwiches.

Fresh tastey and delightful. A must in SF. Busy but moved along quickly. Fantastico breads and ingredients are top notch. Abondonza

The hard rolls and sandwich spread is a favorite with your popular meat or vegetarian. The sandwich spread has pesto with garlic so remember to bring breath mints after your Italian sandwich experience.

I came across Lucca and judging by line of people coming out of the front door I figured it had to be good. It was about a 20 minute wait but well worth it. The sandwiches are HUGE - probably at least 12" and enough to easily feed two people. My dutch crunch roll was fresh and crispy, with a... More

What originally caught may eye to this hole in the wall, 25 years ago, was the long line of people and the UPS+Fed Ex trucks pulled in front. Back then 5 Italian women were behind the counter slapping together the best sandwiches in town. Today, only one behind the cash register, but the staff still put together the best in... More

I had an opportunity to visit this place recently and I was amazed. These types of sandwiches are my absolute favorite and until now, Togos has been king. I still love Togos, but Little Luca's makes a better sandwich. I had the Little Luca combo. Since it was my first visit I made sure to have it exactly as they... More

One of the little known best kept secrets for the peoples of the Bay Area, especially South San Francisco, is the world famous LITTLE LUCCA SANDWICH SHOP. Admittedly I wasn't initially impressed with the place. It's quite easy to pass by, except for the long line of people outside. After a few attempts by my brother, which I did not... More
