Haven't been in a while but just love the food, great service and we met very nice people dining next to us. Best Basque food!

This is the place everyone I know who's been there always says is consistently good. Delicious food, prepared in the Basque style, good service, at reasonable prices. I've been there for many occasions, including lunches and dinners in the restaurant as well as luncheon meetings in the meeting rooms. This visit was in one of the meeting rooms for a... More

Went to dinner with a family gathering, 23 people. Food was very good. Extensive menu, soup, salad, main, desert, and coffee. Service was professional and cooperative. This is a big facility that has a restaurant and onsite banquet rooms. Visit their website to see their menu, it is impressive for this type of property. This is the second time I've... More

We were visiting San Francisco to meet our donors for our NGO The Rose International Fund for Children ( www.trifc.org) and catching up with extended family. My uncle's heritage hails from the Basque region in Spain and so we find ourselves here having a wonderful dinner! The place was packed and you had to make reservations for Sunday dinner. Ours... Huge amount of soup- tasty and changes nightly. Well-priced appetizers and warm baguette. Salad was okay. Entrees were ample portions and also tasty. There are two specials each night, so go online and check their menu. Ample space in parking lot in industrial section of South San Francisco. Not far off 101.

Our elegant French friends brought us here and it is such a treasure. The cream of leek soup was delightful - so light and fresh. And then I fell in love with the salad with a simple but perfect dressing. We splurged on escargot, our first outside of France and they were wonderful as was the country pate, which can... More

$130 for 4 for dinner? Sutter home for house wine-bad choice! Stuffed quail--should be called stuffed cabbage-never again. Sirloin of lamb--not lamb --mutton. Dessert not included. Waiter spilled wine on my shirt and pants--sorry--no cleaning voucher. Next time I will drive to Winnamucca NV when I want a real Basque experience and a great meal.

We had lunch at the Basque Cultural Center. It is very old school for the San Francisco area. We had Chicken Cordon Bleu, Slices of Roast Leg of Lamb, a Sirloin Steak and Stuffed Quail. We started with a Black Bean Soup and Garden Salads with a creamy dressing that was somewhere between creamy Italian and Caesar. All in all,... More

This place has been around for years, but we never tire of it. Think rack of lamb, two meats at dinner, family style soup bowl to share, really good bread, and interesting specials---venison and medallions of lamb tenderloin last time we were there. Each day of the week has a different set meal and there is a regular menu as... More
