Our go-to spot for an upscale dinner and service

Love the location in the neighborhood yet on the perimeter of the commercial district as well ( and of course next to the light rail "la gare". A very intimate, comfortable and relaxing restaurant with two dining room options as well as a few tables sidewalk side. The entrees and wines are on the... read more

They were busy, our large table was not ready, they ran out ribs, but the evening was PERFECT. They handled every obstacle with grace and made us feel special, like one of the family. Everyone enjoyed themselves from the kids to the grandparents. The food was EXCELLENT - the lamb, duck, burger and dessert, oh the desserts... try them all.... More

We joined another couple for a dinner at the Bistro. The service was excellent and the food was excellent as well. We were there on a week night and it was very quiet and comfortable.

Our fave server wasn't there...and a young server didn't have a clue...plus the table next to us got an apology that their order had gone "MIA". Yet, what a lovely location...caring food (though, no calves liver and onions just doesn't seem right)....so, we hope the problems are only temporary.

The wait stafe is very personable and helpful, the menue genuinely French, We are never disappointed after numerous visits, from traditional h'or de heures like escargo and foie gras to full dishes more from a provencial menue than from haute cuisine. Your tastes buds will be happy and so will your stomach. Go again & again!

Country French cuisine, though I had one of the best pasta dishes ever here last year. Nice outdoor seating area. Friendly service and varied French menu.

We dined here on a warm Friday evening. This bistro has sidewalk seating, and we chose to dine outside. The ambiance was wonderful, not bustling and noisy but with just enough street and pedestrian traffic to make it interesting. It wasn't France, but it certainly felt French. Even our server had a French accent - very authentic, indeed! And the... More

The excellent food brought us back a second time. The noise level insures that we will not return. It is really a shame. The food and service are wonderful, but when you have to lean across the table and shout to have a conversation, the taste turns sour. And careful with the "sea bass" that another reviewer loved. It is... More

Stopped by one of our favorite French restaurants in South Pasadena. This is the real deal. Menu is deep and creative without being pretentious. The preparation and presentation reminds me of our trip to Provence last year. Service is excellent. Dining can be indoors or out. Very nice ambiance. We give them five very solid stars.

Our first visit - scallops and sea bass were done to perfection. Chef Bruno takes special care with each dish prepared. Dungeness crab cakes were excellent. The Viognier was delicious! The staff were all very helpful, answering our questions very patiently. Chef Bruno came out to greet each patron as well. We look forward to returning again to have another... More
