Great food and lively atmosphere

Have been here before and been a bit disapponted in lunch, but dinner here this time was very good. Friday night in summer is so busy, but we were able to get a reservation ( a must) and were seated in good time. 3 beet salad with goat cheese & toasted walnuts was delicious. Portabello mushroom on... read more

Had another great dinner here. Nice wine selection as well. Highly recommended when in the Santa Cruz area. The heirloom tomato salad is bomb. I had the flat iron steak - it was delicious and cooked perfectly rare. My wife had the seafood pasta dish - also excellent.

This was recommended by my hotel and turned out to be a very good restaurant. Eclectic menu with something for everyone. I had the pork chops which were prepared perfectly. They offer both inside and outside patio dining. Good wine options and they will make small changes to dishes to suit your tastes. I would return again.

This is a little spot that will surprise you. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and is very pleasant. There truly is not an item on the menu that I would steer you away from. I dined with a couple that dines there frequently. I highly recommend the ravioli, truffle fries, salmon. They also have a nice wine list... More

Came here while staying a few days in Santa Cruz. The waitress seemed like she was just going through the motions. You will not get bread at the table unless you ask for it. She didn't offer it to us. Everything is alacarte. Was going to order ravioli but it didn't come with anything so I had the Tuscan Salad... More

Cafe Cruz is a must stop if you are in town. It's a great local place and the food/wine/desserts are amazing. Seating inside or outside is wonderful and the vibe is relaxed but you can also go there for a special event and dress up. Highly recommend.

Cafe Cruz just celebrated their 20 year anniversary, and it has been 20 very good years. Located on busy 41st Ave. it is a short drive from nearly anywhere in Santa Cruz County. Food is excellent, with ever changing daily specials to augment the varied items available on the menu. They have several huge mouth watering salads, great appetizers and... More

My family took me here for my birthday - first visit despite living in town for over a decade. We'll definitely be back. The food was very good: excellent tomato appetizer, and main courses of steak and hamburgers were delicious. The server apologized for the overly oily cheese bisque she brought it (she said it didn't come out right) and... More

A happen place. Lots of people and quite noisy but fun. The outside casual area is very nice while waiting for a table. Had a large group for dinner but service was excellent.

The food was good but we'll never go there again for dinner. It was SO LOUD that you can't talk to anyone. The ladies 4 tables over were practically screaming or the acoustics are so awful that I actually had to put in air plugs to enjoy dinner. The food was good enough but not to warrant a miserable experience.
