What a great place to eat. This place impressed me so much that I ended up going back for lunch the next day.
Our friends took us here for a birthday dinner. I've driven by it many times and never really noticed it. I certainly wouldn't have gone if our friends hadn't invited us. Drive along the side of the building to the back side. Parking can be challenging. There is a nice heated, outdoor patio or lots of tables inside. I've been... More
Cafe Cruz is one of the best restaurants in Santa Cruz County. It is consistently good and the prices are reasonable. Their fish dishes are always outstanding. Wonderful lunch menu; I usually get the fish sandwich or one of their very big salads. Only complaint is that it is sometimes hard to find a parking space behind the restaurant.
You wouldn't know it from the outside, but once inside this place is lively, cozy, and full of delicious aromas! We chose this based on Yelp comments and could not have been more pleased with our dinner. There was lots of energy in the crowd, the staff was very friendly, and the meal/wine were fantastic! We throroughly enjoyed our couple's... More
i've never had a bad meal here. filet mignon was so tender--no knife needed. pasta/skirt steak;wow!! chicken -can't go wrong. inside ,patio and garden seating. two bars----one for watching the chefs. however, you must be patient about parking. casual or dressy.
Visited twice in two weeks and just really enjoyed it! Nice wait staff, good food, great patio, beautiful weather and nice wine... can it get better?
This was a fantastic find because they had a great menu with well sourced ingredients for the omnivores and a separate vegan menu. I got the smoked artichoke appetizer and pasta puttinesca--they were able to add greens to it for me which was great. I only wish that they had a vegan dessert as well besides sorbet.
Hubby and I have been coming here for over a decade! The salads are wonderful! Hubby and I used to order the Trio Platter featuring their spit-roasted free range chicken, a crab cake and pork chop served with your choice of sides varying from chilled artichoke to black beans to garlic mashed potatoes! The crab cakes are hubby's fave! We... More
Saturday morning after Friday night and the lure of a Bloody Mary and Burger was strong after a hike in the Santa Cruz mountains. Great place in unlikely location, courtyard and bar area with restaurant area out front. Service with a smile to back up the great food and drinks.
