Enjoy the patio

This is a very nice restaurant, with excellent food and lots of food choices. Ask to be seated in the patio if the weather permits. The noise level inside the restaurant can be very high. This place is a wonderful restaurant with a great outdoor patio and very nice bar and dining area. The food is outstanding. The service a little slow, but I think our waiter was new.

This is one of our go to restaurants in Santa Cruz. The food is always consistently good. The salads are great, I love their crab cakes. My husband loves the meat dishes that come with mashed potatoes. Also, they have a full bar with wine and cocktails.

Average all around - from greetings to seating to service to the food. And yet they suggest 18 or 20% tips!!! My wild mushroom ravioli was tasty but watery. My business associate's chicken salad was OK but nothing exceptional. Average.

We had a very nice experience here but the restaurant was noisy and the service slow. The food was okay - nothing bad but nothing exceptional. A good place to go with family and friends.

Perfect experience. We arrived 10 minutes late for our reservation time and the hostess had no issue with us when we asked for 15 min at the bar for a bev first anyway. Dinner was phenomenal and our server Jana was the perfect blend of social and professional. Will be back MANY times!

I visit Santa Cruz a couple of times a year and I always want to have a meal at Cafe Cruz. It was once a best kept secret, but it is always packed, now. Call for a reservation. Service was VERY slow the Friday evening we went. I had the steelhead trout and it did not disappoint $22. My companions... More

Cafe Cruz is a great place for lunch or dinner and is favored by many locals. Food is always good as is the service. I prefer to sit on the patio as it can be noisy in the dining rooms - it's always lively there! A reservation is a must on the weekends and probably not a bad idea during... More

We had dinner reservations here but were not seated for 45 minutes. A very busy, crowded, loud restaurant. Fortunately we had a table outside where the noise was not an issue. All three of us were able to share a Romaine salad and a bread pudding dessert. Both very nice. I had the Prawn/scallop linguine entrée which I found to... More

Went with 7 friends for dinner. We had appetizers of calamari and bread with garlic dip. I had the full size filet mignon medium rare and it was perfect along with a Cinnabar red wine.
