We always enjoy ourselves at Café Cruz!! The place was jumping from early on New Years Eve! It was a beautiful cool evening - so you could sit out side by the fire place or under a heater. There is a conversation lounge area, that is so nice if you want to sit in the patio and wait for dining... More

Café Cruz is always popular as a go-to classy restaurant for reliably delicious food. My only suggestion for improvement is for the restaurant to try somehow to reduce the noise level. On a busy night -- which is every time we go -- the noise level indoors is so loud that a normal conversation is difficult. Of course, "noisy" means... More

We went here for their Christmas Eve dinner, and wow! It was amazingly good. Also, try their specialty drinks. Based on the main menu, there are some all around great options for dining. If its nice outside, make sure to sit on the patio.

A group of 4 and we had the Ono and swordfish, both were specials of the evening. Black rice accompanied the ono, which was simply delish!! The swordfish had a butternut squash polenta with and quite frankly, I am not a polenta fan, this was exquisite. We started with the crab cakes with a light lemon sauce, equally as good.... More

Came here recently - two nights in a row. The first night we ate inside and shared an entree (portions very generous) ~ the next night we split an appetizer, salad and entree. This was recommended by friends who live here and when we arrived you could see that word is out - this is a favorite of the locals.... More

A family member who lives locally suggested this place for lunch and it was a great idea! The restaurant was fairly crowded at lunchtime, including office and friends holiday lunches so the decor and the patrons were festive! There is a beautiful outdoor patio plus a cozy bar as well bar tables-bar height and regular, plus a dining room. The... More

Second visit to this restaurant and food was excellent once again. Waiter was average, but certainly not bad. Felt at certain points that my children (13 and 11) were an inconvenience in his eyes. For me personally, I am paying and they are with me, so as far as he should be concerned they were paying. But food was delicious... More

We stopped in here after an 8 mile hike in Big Basin. With the reviews we were expecting a "wow" factor. It's a nice place, food prepared well, but pretty simple food- but neither of us felt it was special. The only thing that wasn't good was the calamari- over breaded and really crunchy- that the calamari was lost in... More

We celebrate our wedding anniversary with dinner out on their enclosed patio. Such lovely ambience. I had seafood which was exceptional as always. Their skirt steak salad is always very popular too. Our waitress was very friendly and as a nice surprise brought us a dessert with a candle to celebrate. We continue to return here because it is the... More

I have generally had only good meals at Cafe Cruz but the Saturday before last was not so hot. I ordered my usual seared artichoke and it was a five. My friend and I both ordered the bone in rib eye special for $28.00 and were very disappointed. It was only slightly thicker then a Denney's steak and had no... More
