Some friends had told us this was a great place to eat, don't know what was not going on the night we ate there, the 26th of march. The service was slow and bad, the food was just so so, and to top it off the price was tooo high. They could of had a off night, but when 3... More

O.K. Not every review can be as easy as the Swan Oyster Depot in San Francisco. Tortilla Flats is just what everybody says: cozy, friendly, etc. But really? Refried beans without cheese? The Chili Relleno was very good, but lacking any ZIP. C'mon, man! Flavor this puppy up with something! The tamales saved the day! VERY GOOD tamales! My Grand... More

Not only best margaritas but excellent food! We've been there several times an never been disappointed . Well worth the wait! The salmon crepes was excellent I want to go back tomorrow for more. A little noisy for a romantic dinner but I think the food will over ride that . Advise...don't drive after more than one original margarita !!!!!!!

There's much to like about this tiny local eatery - food is innovative, a cozy and friendly vibe, and I love their collection of Mexican pottery on the walls. But I have issues with paying $14 -$15 for an entree that arrives with no rice, beans, or even a parsley (or guess I should say cilantro) sprig. This isn't Ruth's... More

We were regulars at Tortilla Flats until a month or two ago. We loved the food and margaritas; it was our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is still great, but they've weakened the margaritas. When we commented that the ($12) margaritas didn't seem to have much tequila in them any more, our server said that the owners... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Cruz. The food is more of a Mexican-Southwestern fusion than purely Mexican. So, for us lovers of the green chili, it is hands down the best place in Santa Cruz.

Tortilla Flats has been in Soquel for over 30 years and we know why. Good food and good service. The restaurant may be tiny but they are quick to get you in and served. Dishes came out hot and tasty. Margaritas come in different sizes and flavors and many tequilas to chose from too.

After a day out on the water whale watching, we were starving and did a search for Mexican food. We were the only guests at 4pm, but every table was occupied before we left. The original margaritas were perfect and arrived quickly. We enjoyed the nachos & Rio Grande carne asada. The guacamole was amazing! Enjoyed the food, quaint atmosphere,... More

Love the authentic and fresh recipes. Always popular so plan on getting there before you're starving. Although you can have a fantastic margarita while waiting for table.

Tortilla Flats is our go-to place for great food and margaritas! This is not your usual Mexican restaurant; the food is very fresh and much less greasy than the usual tacos and enchiladas. They make a chicken tamale to die for, unique seafood enchiladas, both soft and crispy tacos, and my favorite chicken enchilada verde with fresh avocado and sour... More
