Fine Staff serving Sophisticated Food

The service was amazing. The wine flowed. The sauce was sensational. The appetizers were remarkable. We never had an empty water glass on a hot night. Walking distance from the Historical District and The Inn we were staying at. A bonus.

We have stopped here for lunch before and always enjoyed it. Yesterday we stopped and the restaurant was closed for a banquet - but signs directed us to the patio on a lower level. Due to the banquet, we were limited to a hamburger - WOW - I probably would have had a salad, but the day was nice and... More

Sadly, we were only one of two tables seated when we dined here. Perhaps it is because it is in an out of the way location, or perhaps it is because the mother (owner) is very rude. However, the service we received from our waiter (I think the owner's son) was fabulous, and our meal was delicious. I had the... More

We loved Banny's in downtown and were more than willing to follow them to their new location. They are only open for dinner on Thursday and Friday (lunch the rest of the days). Their $15 Italian nights on Thursday are a great bargain (3 courses) and delicious. The Friday dinner menu is small but their classics are available. Food is... More

First of all this was my favorite restaurant in Sonora when it was located downtown. My fiance and I travelled from Amador County once a month to eat here. We decided to make the drive to Mountain Springs Golf Course and enjoy our favorite restaurant. Gone was the initimate setting. Instead it was in the banquet room where all the... More

Everything was wonderful. Taste your food before you reach for the salt or pepper because they season it perfectly. The prices were reasonable. I wish I lived closer and could eat more food! You have to try it.

I heard they moved to the Nountain Springs Golf Course so I'll go there. Bannys was great with a fine wine list and very good Italian cuisine. It's casual fine dining.

We tried this place last night after reading favorable reviews here and believe me it was great. The food was so good, I had the salmon special and w had a large Banny's special salad and we split it all. Had a small bottle of Merlot. Prices are reasonable and the food just was so fresh and tasty. It was... More

The food here is amazing. Love the steak and the pasta. I was going to the theater and had to be out quickly, they made sure I was out by a certain time and smiled the whole time. Very pleasent experience. I had my doubts with some of the mixed reviews. The food was amazing, did I say that already?... More
