We found the restaurant by chance ( while looking for the tourist information office). The food was really, really nice and lots of it and all at reasonable prices. The owner and his wife were lovely, asking us if everything was ok, I even got chance to use some of the Japanese I learnt when I briefly lived in Japan... More

We traveled to Sonora for a little recon for a future car event and wanted something other than the usual fast food...Koto was easy to find and not crowded, even during lunch...It should have been...The "house/home made" teriyaki was great...Lunch prices were around $9 for the whole meal and worth every penny...The hostess and suspected owner was very enthusiastic and... The Koto house sushi creations are some of the finest I've ever eaten. Real works of art with some fabulous sauces. They offer way more than the simple rolls. Try "Better Than Sex I or II" for a real treat. The older references below that say average food are out-dated. Try them again. Their work is just simply fine!

If you are in the area and crave for sushi, I recommend Koto. You don't have many options to begin with but this place is better than other restaurants that serves sushi. You will not be blown away by the food quality but it's good enough. Reasonable price. Service decent. The owners are nice people. They are there probably everyday... More

Don't pass up the chance to eat here. Good, clean, real food. It's not cheap but not unwarranted high. The quality and calm environment will always be worth it. Amazing sushi prepared with care.

I have had sushi a few times and went here with my father-in-law as we rode through town for the night. At the recommendation of Rikki, our colorful and very helpful waitress, I tried the Pub Daddy. It was so good I ordered a second plate. Don't be afraid to ask questions. A very nice place that I will try... More

My partner and I have enjoyed sushi for over 30 years. I have been to S.F. to New York to L.A. My partner has been to Japan so we have a wide range of experiences with sushi. Even though the Koto sushi menu is limited, probably due to the location and the country-fied clientele, the sushi is always consistent and... More

Went to dinner on a saturday night. Ordered the specials (crazy salmon rolls) salad, miso soup. Soup and salad came right away. We waited 30 minutes for the main course. It was the worst meal we have ever eaten here. The restaurant was 75% full. It will be a long time before we come back again.

This japanese restaurant is the bomb. Prices are great. For $10 you can get a box lunch with salmon, vegetable tempura, soup, salad and rice. It is a great portion and wait staff is great.

We were visiting Sonora for one night only and decided to try Koto on the recommendation of TripAdvisor! The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and service was sporadic at best but the staff were all friendly and the food was great. Still can't finish those American sized portions but we were both loath to leave any as it... More
