Fresh baguettes, hot chocolate made with real chocolate (not cocoa powder in mile), and huge waffles with real maple syrup. There is also a large variety of omelettes and egg sandwiches. Outdoor seating right on the plaza, plus some indoor seating on high chairs and bistro tables (very crowded on the holiday Monday we visited. Fast service with your order... More

We recommend the Monster Mimosa...over breakfast enjoyed the largest mimosa I've ever seen at a great price, only $7.50. Very fun vibe and right on the Sonoma main square. Enjoy! More

the food is very good but the orderliness of the place leaves much to desire. it's a quaint, small place, for couples or 4-somes, but on a busy Tuesday morning, it can be hard to find a table or considerate guests in need of their coffee. when we first arrived, it was hard to tell that we were to go... We ate lunch here and all liked our choices. Note that in the winter it closes at 4:30. We ate at the tables on the street so enjoyed people watching along with the great food. The sandwitches are big and the soups are hearty. More

While in Paris, I took a cooking class from a wonderful Parisien lady in her home. Long story short, we became friends and I help her with cooking classes here in California now! Recently while conducing a class in the Sonoma area, she took us to Sunflower Caffe (she had been previously.) She ordered a variety of wonderful tapas and... More

I had a tasty omlette for breakfast. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. seem to have lots of different places where you can sit including some outdoor seating. Gets crowded on the weekend. More

Based on the Sunflower being featured on Triple D, I stopped by to get a takeout order. I got the smoked duck breast sandwich. It comes on a sliced bagette with melted gruyere, carmelized onions and field greens. It was delicious. I would rate the Sunflower as excellent rather than very good, however as we were waiting for my order... More

I have eaten at the Sunflower Caffe many times. I particularly enjoy the breakfasts and brunches. All food is high quality, natural, made to order, etc. While the selections are not extensive, the menu is complete. The atmosphere is casual. Food is ordered at the cash register/kitchen area, and then delivered to your table. Last year, the Sunflower added an... More
