Consistently Good Food

This is what it says, a cafe. There is often a line, and on weekends, the staff seems to be overwhelmed. However, for breakfast or brunch, Breakaway is the place to go. Their Mexican egg choices are delicious. The pancakes are huge (although you must pat $1 extra for 'real' maple syrup). The... read more

Went to Breakaway Cafe for dinner based on recommendation from our hotel, El Pueblo. The service was excellent and our party of four was very happy and thoroughly enjoyed our wine and meals. Two of us from our party had the clam chowder, Mexican burger, and flat iron steak. Wonderful! We're so glad we got the recommendation and dined at... More

We went here for breakfast and the food was very good. We both had the vegetable omelette with potatoes. The vegetables were very fresh. I would have rated it excellent if the service had not been a little slow. We came from Glen Ellen and it only took a few minutes to get here.

these guys make some great food in a diner type setting. Love the Jambalaya and the burgers best. but their meat loaf and pasta dishes and fish and chips all it the spot as well. Breakfast is pretty tasty too

We have been here a couple times and each time we have different problems, one time my salad was horrible and very old! Another time we went we had horrible service we waited close to 15-20 mins just for drinks and they weren't even busy!

They hade very good food, i had a "taco" and a pancake for breakfast. and they were really good! Not very expensive either. I would definitely recommend it! The staff was very polite and nice as well. The reason i don't give a 5 star is because the food did not completely blow my mind and it was not the... More

Very good! Visiting from Arizona. 4 of us. 2 had machaca, 1 eggs Benedict and 1 eggs over beans. All were great. Service was fine, a little slow to start, but picked up, maybe break time when we got there. Would go back anytime.

Today my husband and I used Trip Advisor to locate a brunch destination. Breakaway came up as a popular eatery so we rolled the dice as we made our way back down from Napa. Wow! This was a great stop. The food is delicious. I had the avocado, onion, bacon, cheddar omelette and my husband ordered huevos rancheros. We both... More
