Great Burger Off of the Grill in Casual Setting

We spent 3 days in San Francisco and then headed to wine country. Our first stop was the Sonoma Plaza, which was simply beautiful. It was like something out of a storybook: owners walking with their dogs; large shade trees; people having picnics on blankets; quaint specialty shops and good... read more

I was part of a Wine Country tour, and we stopped in Sonoma for lunch. With many options, I chose The Sonoma Cheese Factory. I chose a basic roast beef and cheddar sandwich, which was excellent. After checking out the beautiful city square, I went back for some dessert. The very charming Aaron scoops a wicked gelato, and it was... More

This place is a must stop before heading out to the winery. You can get yummy sandwiches made and of course lots of cheese to bring to the winery. They even have coolers and ice.

This is a great store. It has a grill outside and sandwiches inside as well as cheese and grapes for two. The take away cheese platter with salami was great to just take across the street to the park. Also had wine tasting and a place to eat inside. Lots of cute things for wine shoppers. It's really a cross... More

We spent 3 days in San Francisco and then headed to wine country. Our first stop was the Sonoma Plaza, which was simply beautiful. My husband and I had lunch there during our visit to Sonoma Valley. We both had a sandwich each and both tasted very good. We also bought fudge there, it was lovely! The service was good, everyone who worked there were really friendly. I sampled their different types of cheese and although nice, I've had better. The seating area could... More

After we surveyed the made-to-order sandwiches and felt the prices were high, we wandered the cheese and grocery section of the store. So many cheeses! Several samples were out. I particularly appreciated the basket in the front refrigerated cheese display with many SMALL chunks of different cheeses. We could try several and not spend a bundle. We were happy not... More

Sampling new and different varieties of everyday cheeses. From the extra sharp cheddar, outstanding, to the different varieties of Jack Cheese, especially the habenero.

This seems to be the spot the locals come to get their cheese, wine and a quick bite to eat. Even if you are not buying, it is a interesting place to look around and check out the local products. There is also a cafe inside the Cheese Factory, where they serve sandwiches and ice creams.
