Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.

We stopped in here for a light dinner on a Friday night with open table reservations. Even through the restaurant was crowded, the service was polite while we ate our dinner off of the appetizer menu and had a glass of wine. Great atmosphere, good food, and first rate service. We didn't have a chance to try the truffle fries,... More

We went on a couples trip here in August. We are here on the very first night of the trip and it was honestly one of my favorite meals. The staff was great and the food was delish. Would definitely recommend the truffle fries as well- super yummy! The wine of course is fabulous but I would also recommend their... More

My family really enjoys his quaint restaurant with superb food right on the square. A great variety on the menu and prepared with a passion for local ingredients.

Had a fabulous dinner tonight at EDK....from the truffle fries to roasted Brussels sprout salad, and then a marvelous seafood paella! Volume of noise a tad loud in the restaurant, but food was great!

My husband & I came here on MLK weekend. It was a rainy day, but the ambience was romantic. The foie gras was really rich, but tempered with the chocolate shavings, huckleberry sauce and cream was delicious. My husband & I were intrigued by their beet salad with pistachio meringue and a smoky yogurt dressing. They oysters with grated horseradish... More

Although the restaurant is austere and not inviting, the food is 5 star. On some nights the service is better than other nights.

We recently came here with a friend and loved our brunch. I had the salmon eggs benedict with a side of fresh fruit and my wife shared a ham and cheese omlette with our friend. The dining room was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. A great start to our day in Sonoma!

Simple hotel style setting but quite good food, known for their truffle fries. Prime location at the corner of the square. Good chef and will accommodate diets.
