Description: Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.

At sunset take a leisurely stroll around Sonoma Plaza to get a feel for the place, past the Sebastiani Theatre, galleries, boutiques, bars, museums, and restaurants. A time to relax and observe. Save buying and rushing for tomorrow. An outdoor table in the courtyard of the El Dorado Kitchen is your destination. Cocktails, conversation, and a knowledgeable waiter with a... More

Sat at the bar for a late night drink and bite to eat. Nice setting with a good bar tender. A little on the pricey side compared to other places on the plaza but good food. Had the alaskan salmon which was tasty and not typically massive portions which was actually welcomed at that moment (haha). Nice atmosphere if youre... More

We had been advised by friends who know Sonoma well to eat at other places on the plaza. No one mentioned El Dorado per se so we had no real expectations when we got a table there on very short notice. But we were delighted by our experience. Although the atmosphere is very casual, the staff took their jobs very... More

another lovely room and outdoor seating area - - although beware the heaters which can burn the scalp of balding gentlemen! Started with oysters and beef carpaccio - - both very good. We both had pasta dishes - - DH had a lamb and pasta dish that was very good, and I had the pappardele carbonara style. Both were yummy... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The wait staff was great. Gave friendly banter about how the wine was so fresh it had just been crushed. Food was tasty and well prepared. Would return again. Enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio.

For under $100, we had two drinks, an heirloom tomato salad (easily one of the 10 best salads I've ever had), beef carpaccio, king salmon (caught locally and surrounded by delicious vegetables), and for dessert, figs with salted caramel ice cream. We enjoyed this meal over 2 1/4 hours, never felt rushed or pressured, loved the outdoor seating with a... More

We went there immediately upon driving up from San Francisco Airport and hadn't ate all morning so needless to stay we were starving. We promptly got seated with our reservations but then took about 7-8 minutes for a server to actually welcome us to the restaurant. The barrata was awesome as an appetizer. Wife had the tostada and said it... More

We had a very delightful dinner at El Dorado Kitchen. We sat in the front dining area. There was a lot of roominess between the tables and not the least bit noisy. The room was very bright with large window exposure to the streets of the historic Sonoma square. The service was quick & the food was excellent! We were... More

Meeting up with friends on a beautiful summer's day in Sonoma, we decided to feel the energy during the lunch service at El Dorado Kitchen...and it was there. Outdoor garden patio was hosting a private party; we reserved a table for 4 near the windows and it was tight, but cozy and although the room was full, we were able... More

Had a very nice meal here; good food, great service, nice outdoor atmosphere. The waiters were attentive, we received the food in a reasonable amount of time and the noise level was not too high for conversation.
