Description: Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.

My wife and I spent a fun winter weekend in Sonoma. The El Dorado has been on our lists of restaurants we wanted to try. We loved everything and ordered five dishes, only one an entree. Try the shrimp and grits, tuna tartare. Also the rissotto dish. Our waiter was excellent, the bar drinks good, you can bring your purchased... More

Not one of those "too precious" places, but a contemporary restaurant with a modern sensibility. That said, it has plenty of charm, in an historic building right on the plaza. The menu is always updated and in-season. The service is smooth and professional, yet casual and friendly. And nothing could be better than lunch on their patio on a warm... More

So delicious! And perfect afternoon snack with a nice glass of wine. We also had dinner here the night before and it was delicious! Fresh fish, nice wine, can't go wrong. The setting was lovely and we were welcomed even in our casual clothes. The service was stellar - definitely recommend this place!

We regularly eat at "EDK" for special occasions and for a great relaxing weekend meal indulgence. The menu is creative and varied, using fresh seasonal ingredients. Recently had roasted marrow bones...there's one you don't see everday. Rich, tasty, and novel. The specialty cocktails are intriguing. Consistently good food and service.

Went there for lunch on my birthday. Since it is crab season, I had the crab salad which was perfect. The crab was delicious; the salad was light yet filling with citrus slices. Nice atmosphere.

Had dinner on a weeknight. Restaurant has a nice open ambience. Service started off attentive but trailed off. Had the beef capacio which was flavorless but the crab cake was a hit. Soo much crab meat! All killer no filler. Mains were lobster risotto and pasta carbonara. Risotto was decent (meat was a little over done for me but still... More

This is a great place for a special dinner as it is a bit pricey. The food was delicious and the wait staff very attentive. Everyone loved their dish.
