We had a fantastic meal at El Dorado. Oysters to start followed by a trio of lamb special and a lamb ragu with fettuccine and everything was utterly superb. Accompanied the oysters with sparkling Sonoma white and the main course with a local, and very well priced, merlot - again both superb. Couldn't fault an excellent meal.

Dinner was so fantastic that we came back for brunch on our way out of town. For dinner my husband and I shared 3 apps because we couldn't make up our mind and then split and entree. We ordered the: tuna tartare, beet salad and burrata then a pasta to share. They were all excellent- the flavors and presentation. Our... More

Visitors always appreciate the contemporary, easy atmosphere inside this historic building from the 1800's. We best love the Ahi Tuna Tacos, which are always fresh and hit the palate like a symphony of brilliant flavors. Another reminiscent spot from what was the Wild West, the El Dorado Kitchen is a lovely place to dine.

We arrived at El Dorado Kitchen 5 minutes late for lunch so were seated in the bar with a limited menu. That proved to be good fortune as the steamed mussels on the menu were truly outstanding - so good, in fact, that we will head back any time we are in the area just to have them again. I'd... More

Six of us plus a 9 month old came for dinner on a Saturday evening in May. It's size is deceiving from the outside. There are many rooms and a lovely outdoor area but I would still recommend a reservation. We had had a wine-filled day at vineyards so many of the 6 took advantage of the lovely selection of... WE enjoyed our dinners very much in this quaint old hotel dining room where the in- crowd created a lively, but noisy, atmosphere. My daughter is vegan and the chef prepared her a special meal since he loves making vegan food for his family. Lots of choices of wine by the glass--- and at reasonable rates. Food was very fresh... Stopped here with family on way back from Santa Rosa appointment. Appetizers were tasty and unique. Ordered entrees from specials menu and was very pleased with presentation and taste. Atmosphere was very pleasant and service was quite attentive. Chef inspired menu was the highlight. Would definitely go again.

Try the NY steak, it really is one of the best steaks I've ever had. Completely tender, cooked perfectly and had an awesome char to it. Better than the high end steak dinner we had a couple nights later in San Francisco. The pasta dish we also ordered was flavorful and well seasoned.
