Description: Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.

This hotel is located right off of the main square in Sonoma. The hotel is quaintly luxurious, and this restaurant is lovely. Cocktails and wine are great, but pricey. The food is more reasonable, well presented, with good flavour combinations. The staff were competent, and accommodating. Service is very fast, and efficient. We sat by the pool, under the heaters,... More

El Dorado was by far my favorite meal of our trip to Sonoma. The atmosphere was vibrant but not overwhelming. We sat outside for our meal in a cool, little tent that fit our group of 6 perfectly. We loved it because we were right in the middle of everything but also felt like we had our own dining room.... More

We were in Santa Rosa for a family party and decided to drive the 30 minutes to Sonoma for dinner at the El Dorado. The patio was lovely, but when the wind came up, we asked to be relocated inside which the waitstaff cheerfully helped us do. I had the New York steak which was the thickest cut I had... More

We had a lovely lunch on the patio. Beautiful setting, very good food and coffee, good service and good - if somewhat overpriced - wines by the glass. A lovely break in a busy day of wine tasting. We would recommend it.

Moderately priced and well prepared/presented meal. I had a 3 course dinner with wine pairings for under $50. Waiter was also friendly and knowledgable. Restaurant is located right on the corner of sonoma's town square. Highly recommend.

This little gem had something for the adventurous diner and and keep it simple eater in an attractive space. Everything from the hamburger to the grilled salmon was delicious and attractively presented. You could choose from the wine list or quickly find something quaffable in the by the glass and carafe section. We did both and enjoyed both. Hands down... More

Omelets were the size of your plate. The paella was the best I have ever eaten and the truffle risotto was delicious.

Had lunch here with a friend who had dined here before - incredibly fresh salmon, and, the salad that accompanied it was as good - if not a bit better! Polished, chic ambiance in this restaurant on the first floor of an historic hotel in quaint downtown Sonoma - my favorite valley. I look forward to coming back and sampling... More

Come here every time in Sonoma! My personal favorites are duck confit and oysters (usually they have verities of oysters). Have been coming here for more than 10 years (live in SF) - quality never changes. All visiting friends are very happy as well. Bon appetit!
