Description: Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.

We stopped in here for lunch and had the burgers - excellent! We wanted to sit outside but the host warned us they were having a fly issue in the patio, so we chose to sit inside instead. Great service as well!

We came here for a nice romantic dinner after visiting some wine country and arrived early for dinner- 5:30, which is early for us. So the wait staff was on their game, and food came out on time, and carefully delivered. We ordered two appetizers and the attentive waiter could see that we were interested in sharing both, so he... Came here to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding. The food was delicious and the cocktails were wonderful! The service was excellent, and it was a lovely ambiance for a nice dinner/celebration. I ordered the carpaccio with truffle aioli and watercress and the seafood paella, along with the "clear conscience". Everything was fantastic.... I would highly recommend coming here for a... More

Our main objective of this trip was to eat great food. This was my favorite meal of the trip. The seafood paella was superb. Loaded with shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops. But the fig fried pie was cooked a little too long and was more crust than filling.

At sunset take a leisurely stroll around Sonoma Plaza to get a feel for the place, past the Sebastiani Theatre, galleries, boutiques, bars, museums, and restaurants. A time to relax and observe. Save buying and rushing for tomorrow. An outdoor table in the courtyard of the El Dorado Kitchen is your destination. Cocktails, conversation, and a knowledgeable waiter with a... More

Sat at the bar for a late night drink and bite to eat. Nice setting with a good bar tender. A little on the pricey side compared to other places on the plaza but good food. Had the alaskan salmon which was tasty and not typically massive portions which was actually welcomed at that moment (haha). Nice atmosphere if youre... More

We had been advised by friends who know Sonoma well to eat at other places on the plaza. No one mentioned El Dorado per se so we had no real expectations when we got a table there on very short notice. But we were delighted by our experience. Although the atmosphere is very casual, the staff took their jobs very... More

another lovely room and outdoor seating area - - although beware the heaters which can burn the scalp of balding gentlemen! Started with oysters and beef carpaccio - - both very good. We both had pasta dishes - - DH had a lamb and pasta dish that was very good, and I had the pappardele carbonara style. Both were yummy... More
