Needs an Update but the Breakfast is Good

My wife had stayed at the Fairmont before and raved about the lemon cottage cheese pancakes. I've got to say, they were delicious. I had the eggs benedict which were average. Expect hotel restaurant prices. For a Fairmont related facility, it needs a serious update. It's pretty worn.

Great food, amazing service and just a great vibe. Even got me hemp milk for my tea. Really went out of the way to deal with all of our specific dietary requests.

Booked this breakfast as a bed and breakfast package with The Fairmont MIssion Inn and Spa. On it's own it is pricey. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. I wish I was told, or maybe I just didn't read correctly, taxes and a 20% gratuity for breakfast was not included in my Bread and Breakfast package at... More

good breakfast, nice staff, room could use an update as it was a bit old looking, maybe a paint job, some type of sprucing up

Rating: 4.5 -- downgraded because of the wine issue and the coffee not being real strong. Summary -- Excellent food (steak, fish tacos, and salad), a hiccup on the wine that was resolved very well. Coffee weaker than Starbucks, and I normally drink Peet's super strong so might be fine for most people. Good staff, spacious airy interior probably from... More

First and foremost, $18 for a hamburger...Thats a hamburger, no cheese...Thats $3 more...$3 more for bacon...and the list goes on for each added goodie...So a bacon cheese burger is $24...Thats steep...And it was ok...Just ok...Noything terribly special...Eggs Benedict was ok...About twice the price of a usual Benedict...Nothing special...Fish Tacos were ok but the Mahi Mahi was cut into large chunks... Staying at the Fairmont Mission Inn and valet parking you choose their slightly-off-premises diner for breakfast to avoid getting the car out and hunting down another restaurant. And, since you are in an area that is border line commercial and low-income housing, alternatives don't seem readily available. All-in-all they did a fairly good job of preparing breakfasts at an almost... More

This place has been around for a long time and the experience shows. Service was very efficient and food was prepared perfectly. My apple pancakes looked like they could have been taken from a photograph in a food magazine and my wife declared her fruit cup with its finely cut chunks of numerous different fruits to be the best she's... Had a great lunch here during a spa day at the fairmont. We had hanger steak and gouda mashed potatoes and asparagus and it was phenomenal. we also shared the crab quesadilla which was really delicious and could work as a meal in itself as well! highly recommend and i wouldn't hesitate to dine here again on another spa day... This restaurant is not what you typically would expect with a resort but the food was good. The place needs to be refreshed as it looks a bit worn and the layout is odd. However, we ate here 4 mornings and enjoyed it. The fruit cup was extremely fresh and my favorite part of the meal. The spinach, mushroom, and... More
