Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

Delightfully different

It is a small place so make a reservation. The menu is limited yet we had no problem finding a meat free meal when we requested a modification. The appetizers are huge portions and enough for my meal. Service was great. Surprisingly not overly loud despite the smaller size of the room. Corkage fee... read more

I've wanted to eat here for years and finally made it on a trip a couple of weeks ago; it was worth the wait! Everything about this meal was lovely, from our starter salad to the bass and the pork entrees. Service was impeccable, and the restaurant has an understated elegance. Sonoma is a great eating town, but this is... More

We enjoyed our meal here. The scallops with chorizo were lovely. the crab soup was not all that. I enjoyed my steak, egg and chips (not very adventurous but I needed it!) and my husband enjoyed his lamb dish. The service was good and if they could lay their hands on some pasteis de nata then they would be even... More

The food was lovely, service good, great wine selection. The host tried to help with service but she was a little awkward and not polished. This is a meat lovers restaurant so as a semi-vegetarian my choices were somewhat limited but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I had the cod cakes, asparagus bisque and garden vegetable dish. Yum!

This little gem is tucked away in a mercado on the east side of the square. It's small and intimate inside. It was too cool to eat on the terrace during our visit, but that would be great in warmer weather. The food and service were very good. If I return to Somoma, I will eat here again.

After reading all the positive reviews and not wanting to eat at yet another Italian / Mediterranean / Californian restaurant while in wine country, we decided to give LaSalette with its Portuguese menu a try with another couple. They live in Yountville and have a variety of top restaurants nearby, so they've developed a pair of discerning palates. Neither they... More

Both my friend and I ordered traditional Portuguese dishes. I ordered ARROZ á VALENCIANA and was so happy. Tasty food, sensuous atmosphere, beautifully prepared. Will definitely return again. I loved this restaurant. Reservations are recommended. I have a sense it is popular and rightly so.

The sweet potato scallops dish was wonderful. The salt cod was very traditional and may be too large a portion. My wife had the fisherman's stew which was good. The chocolate plate was nice ending. The espresso is quite strong. Excellent experience.

This was fine. The tapas combo plate for three felt a bit stingy for the price. I didn't like the prep or the sauce of the baby octopi but the Serrano ham was delicious. We also ordered their version of the paella and mussels. Both were tasty. The big hits were the veg sides - grilled corn and sautéed collards.

After several recommendations we finally made the journey to Sonoma and dined at LaSalette. YUM...definately try the blood sausage! The small plates made our experience savory as spoke of Spain and how we missed that culture...great service and the sardines are to die for! We sat in the patio and although the resto was busy they did not rush us... More
