Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

We had a delightful meal (late lunch) at this charming little restaurant during a one day visit to Sonoma. I had the Arroz a Valenciana - a Portuguese version of paella that was superb - better than any paella I have had, in the U.S. or in Spain. The blend of flavors was so delightful. The portion is not overly... More

This is a lovely restaurant with superb food and service. I love the small portions Tapas menu. We shared the seven plate menu for $34. The quality and selection was excellent. We also ordered the flight of Sonoma wines which fun and informative. I can't wait to go back. I wish LaSalette was located near us.

On an earlier visit, I didn't think LaSalette lived up to the hype, but on a recent visit, just know that I stand corrected! We had amazingly delicious meals----from the appetizers, through the paella-like seafood/rice dish, and the dessert of 3 different ice creams, my meal was outstanding. The Portuguese white wine was a delicious novel change from all the... More

Two of us ate dinner here on a Friday night in Dec. The restaurant was full. The waitstaff was very good. Good wine list, not surprising for Sonoma area. My spouse liked the lamb dish. I had the sea bass, which was very good, but the portion was very, very small. We shared the chocolate dessert, which was 3 different items,... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful dinner at LaSalette. Food, service, and atmosphere were top notch. Definitely recommend the house red wine (Portuguese), even though it's hard not to order CA wine in Sonoma. Small dining room is comfortable and open kitchen view just adds to the overall experience.

Having never been to a Portuguese restaurant we followed reviews to try this place. Seated promptly at reservation time. Very good service and food (a fried egg on my filet?- yes, good!). A good red portuguese wine to accompany meal. Nice decor, and convenient location.

This has a great selection of food and an alternative to basic California cuisine. If you have never tried Portuguese food or looking for a good place to have lunch or dinner, I would recommend you try it. Hidden down an alley way, it has some traditional foods and some with un-traditional additions, so you get to experience the chef's... More

Just go. The place has an authentic, chef driven menu and authenticity I rarely see. It is so yummy and delicious. My family of four ( grown kids) and I moaned over food with mussels, anchovies, soup, ETC that was great.

Being Portuguese our family was excited to try the Portuguese food offered and I was eager to compare it with what I grew up with. I was happily surprised to find a mix of not only traditional foods, but also foods with a non-traditional twist to them. I ordered the Fisherman's stew which was ok, but the foods that really... This is a wonderful, intimate Portuguese restaurant down one of the alleys on the east side of Sonoma square. We went with a party of 6 with reservations which I highly recommend. We had sea bass, scallops, pork tenderloin and steak and all were very good. The appetizers were also very tasty. The waiter recommended some very nice wine. All... More
