Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

What a find! This place is beautiful. Tucked away down an area away from parking with lovely outdoor seating as well as nice indoor, we had a gorgeous Portuguese meal. Everything was spectacular. It's authentic Portuguese flavors with an American-twist. Just amazing. Fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. Our service was great and the price was excellent for what you get.... More

that it took us the better part of two hours to have dinner, this is in excellent place to eat as far as I am concerned. Tucked away in a court off one of the streets - sorry I don't remember which - around Sonoma Plaza, it is easily missed in a casual walk. I am glad we had reservations,... More

A friend and I dined for lunch. Very cute place, tucked behind the plaza. Very relaxing. Our server, Nina was very kind and knowledable. She provided excellent recommendation and the perfect wine and food parings. I was sold ..and the food was indeed excellent.will def come back.

This is a lovely restaurant in every way. The food, service, restaurant decor and patio are all charming, and very evocative of Portugal.

We had the fish and chips. Another patron raved about an appetizer with prawns. It was good paired with the house Sanoma Valley wine. After couple weeks in Portugal some of the food was good some not so much. This was a good choice for lunch. All patrons were eating outside no one inside. Hostess has a great big smile... More

Really interesting varied menu and specials giving a good choice of Portuguese oriented food with local produce. Liked all the little complementary extras and the deserts put the restaurant into a league of its own ........ Inventive and delicious with ports to match. Attentive but non obtrusive service with, apparently, a genuine interest in our response ...... We were just... More

We dined at La Salette the first night our stay in Sonoma . This was the best meal we had during the week. The fish cakes were exceptional. My wife had stuffed pork tenderloin which she rated very highly, I had the fish stew it was just like being in the Algarve. The mini desserts to share finished off our... More

We visited LaSalette for the first time on 8/22/2004. We had such a good time that we still remembered our experience ten years later. So when we found ourselves in Sonoma this past weekend, we decided to go there again on 8/22/2014, i.e., on the 10th anniversary of our first visit. The ambience is very nice, especially if you sit... More

Went there on 8/17/2014. Arrived at 3:30 and ordered some appetizers from the lunch menu. Were informed that dinner starts at 4:00. We had our appetizers and 3:55 asked to see the dinner menus. Our waitress was rude and reluctantly gave us the menus. She did not inform us of the specials. We heard another waitress describe the specials at... More

Great Portuguese/Brazilian dining in a tucked-away corner off of the fantastic Sonoma town square. Excellent, professional wait staff. Don't miss trying this place.
