Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

Being Portuguese our family was excited to try the Portuguese food offered and I was eager to compare it with what I grew up with. I was happily surprised to find a mix of not only traditional foods, but also foods with a non-traditional twist to them. I ordered the Fisherman's stew which was ok, but the foods that really... This is a wonderful, intimate Portuguese restaurant down one of the alleys on the east side of Sonoma square. We went with a party of 6 with reservations which I highly recommend. We had sea bass, scallops, pork tenderloin and steak and all were very good. The appetizers were also very tasty. The waiter recommended some very nice wine. All... More

LaSalette is a quite cozy room with a wood-burning oven tucked away just off the Sonoma Plaza. Serving contemporary Portuguese, there are some nicely interesting flavors. A whole fire-roasted Branzino with peppers, olives and garlic was very tasty, as was a pork tenderloin stuffed with fig, olive and almonds with a port reduction. There was a very good selection of... There were so many choices on the menu that looked wonderful. Finally decided on pork tenderloin. My friend had the mussels. They were both delicious.

I came here with a group of friends and everything was good, but not outstanding. I had a kale salad to start which was my favorite part of the meal. I ordered a fish stew for my main and while it was tasty, it lacked some spice. The service wasn't great, so we didn't order dessert because we waited so... More

My husband and I went there while on vacation in October. My food was good, just average. The presentation was good and the service was good as well. My husband had the fisherman's stew and said it was very good. His dessert was chocolate and figs with a glass of port. The port was average as was the dessert. I... More

My husband and I have loved this place and have driven from Napa numerous times for lunch and always like both sitting in and outside. A few months back we returned. Things seemed to have gone downhill. We ordered what had been our favorite...Arroz Valencia. There was no taste of saffron, loaded with rice and little seafood. The clams were... More

Never disappointing, LaSalette consistently delivers on the service side and what's on the plate. I sometimes create a meal from the selection of small plates at the top of the menu. Ordering anything from the wood-fired oven always yields something satisfying. The heavenly bread rolls are housemade using a family recipe. The rolls are reason enough to visit LaSalette, but... We had dinner there Saturday night, and every aspect was wonderful. I had read other reviews that had complaints about the service and long waits. We had no such problem, we had a 7:00 res. on a Saturday night, and we were seated promptly...and the service was excellent. The other negative I had read was a disappointment in the wine... More
