Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

We visited LaSalette for the first time on 8/22/2004. We had such a good time that we still remembered our experience ten years later. So when we found ourselves in Sonoma this past weekend, we decided to go there again on 8/22/2014, i.e., on the 10th anniversary of our first visit. The ambience is very nice, especially if you sit... More

Went there on 8/17/2014. Arrived at 3:30 and ordered some appetizers from the lunch menu. Were informed that dinner starts at 4:00. We had our appetizers and 3:55 asked to see the dinner menus. Our waitress was rude and reluctantly gave us the menus. She did not inform us of the specials. We heard another waitress describe the specials at... More

Great Portuguese/Brazilian dining in a tucked-away corner off of the fantastic Sonoma town square. Excellent, professional wait staff. Don't miss trying this place.

Good food on a quiet terrace in an alley. Portuguese-inspired. DH had the fish and piri-piri chips, and I had the Chicken salad. Both well prepared. Nice wine list of both regional and portuguese selections. Friendly service

Our first night in Sonoma includes dinner at LaSalette. The food, service and atmosphere continue to exceed expectations. There are many fine places to dine on the square, but non better. We will continues our 1st night dinner tradition next year.

Well, this was an experience that started out great and simply went very, very bad. Upon being seated promptly on a Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, we first split an excellent kale salad, along with our server's recommended wine, which was very enjoyable. We both ordered the sea bass, due to a tantalizing and prominent description on the menu. We also were... More

We recently had lunch at LaSalette in Sonoma. My husband had paella and I had the pan fried fish. Both were excellent and it was such fun watching them being prepared in the open wood fired oven. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

We got outside seating. I ordered a native beer called Xingu black beer which wasnt half bad. When she came to the table we each got a "shot" of a tomato water with olive oil and some bits of vegetables which was awesome. The appetizer we ordered were crab crepes. The sauce on this was very good as was the... More

Service and Ambience were very good. Attentive and not pretentious. Food was excellent and preparation perfect. Excellent chef! First Coure..The scallops dusted in a finely ground chorizo were perfectly cooked. The white anchovies and small octopus were flavorful and went together. Main..The sea bass was crisply wood oven baked and tasty. The fisherman's stew was very good with small seared... More

Our starter was amazing, Serrano Redondo-Ham, Linguiça-Sausage and Polvinhos-Baby Octopus followed by our main, Pacific wild caught blue nose sea bass, wood oven roasted, on a bed of grilled yellow corn with collard greens and molhu cru. Best meal I've had in a long time. Can definitely recommend this authentic Portuguese restaurant in Sonoma.
