Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the...
Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

Interesting dishes in the wine country

We had several of the appetizers and they were very interesting. I wasn't too fond of the fish dip, but the pig ears were very tasty. We shared some of the entrees with the sea bass being the best.

We passed by the restaurant and it looked nice so we decided to have lunch there. I got piri piri chicken salad which was delicious (a bit spicy for people who don't like spicy foods). It is called "salad", but mostly chicken breast, avocado and bacon with diced tomatoes with cilantro (mixed with sauce/dressing). Only little green, which was a... More

Enjoyed our first dinner at La Salette so much we went back a few days later. A little disappointed that 'today's specials' remained unchanged but apart from that, another good experience. Like the fact that they offer 15 dollar corkage. And loved choosing a selection of tapas to start with. Feels like there is good local support and interesting that... More

Our second visit to this lovely restaurant. Since it was raining their inside space was limited but they sat us at the bar. Such a great experience watching the food prep. The staff works together so well as if you're sitting at your family kitchen counter. The food here is delicious.

And the cold cucumber gazpacho soup is amazing too! Back to the day boat scallops- mix of a flavorful chili heat (mild, smooth) and the sweetness of puréed Japanese sweet potatoes were fantastic with perfectly cooked scallops. Superb wait staff, lovely restaurant.

We arrived in Sonoma during a cold rainy spell - not at all what we expected. When we called for reservations for that night, the first opening was for 8:30, which was a little late for us. Then, the person said if we wanted to sit at the bar, they had openings for 6:00 pm. Perfect. We like sitting at... More

We chose LaSalette due to a visitor from Brazil traveling with us. What a nice place! The atmosphere and staff are very inviting, and our table was relatively quiet and private. The interior is very tastefully decorated in European fashion. Seating is available outdoors as well. We had the Chef's soup, special entree, pasta, and pork. All plates were really... More

This was our first time at LaSalette but definitely not the last. Great food, excellent service and an atmosphere conducive to quiet conversation or a business meeting.
