We had dinner at the G&F. We did not have a reservation, but were seated promptly in the rear courtyard. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the air was chilly, so they turned on the overhead space heaters, which was appreciated. My meal was the steak and frittes, which was very good. My wife and I split a salad, including the... More

Managed to grab lunch here rather than dinner - usually quite busy in the evenings so do make a reservation to make sure. Didnt realise they had a patio actually but was nice to sit out for lunch. friendly waitress, good service, lovely food - we had the pork belly appetiser with a summer side salad and also the tomatoe... we had dinner on the patio. the food was perfectly served and prepared. But for our taste a bit too trendy or new fusion. That being said we think it is/would be a great place for longer lunch with several glassed of bubbly.

This place will give you one of life's most memorable meals. Its that kind of place. Everything from the service to the drink selection is top notch but the meals are on a whole other level. I had the quiche lorraine that happened to be the best I have ever tried and has set the benchmark for every other quiche... More

stellar food in a gorgeous setting. Impressive wine list, including by-the-glass. Tremendous service from Jeffery the actor/grammarian who looked after us very well. This is french-country inspired cooking, matched with Rhone-inspired wines. Heirloom radishes with anchovy butter to begin. DH had the steak frites and I had the chicken thighs (served over buttery spaetzle with mushrooms - - SO good!).... More

It's hard to find anyplace in the square open past 9 pm. This place stays open and has warm, inviting decor. We only had drinks here last Wednesday night but I will definitely go back the next time I am in Sonoma. The bartender was friendly and knowledgable, and poured a good drink.

This was my second visit and I'll always stop here for dinner when I'm in Sonoma. This time we ordered their seasonal fixed menu with wine pairings. The pork tenderloin was wonderful and I fell in love with the squash dressing. We loved all the wine pairings! And last and not least the fig crumble is the reason I'll return!

My favorite restaurant in the town of Sonoma. Pro tip - always super busy, get here early. A cool bar too. Excellent French food and wine selection. Highly recommend.

If you can only eat at one place while in Sonoma, The Girl and The Fig is a must stop! It has a wonderful, vibrant atmosphere and the staff is welcoming and efficient. We were not overly hungry and it was a hot afternoon so, we ordered the fig and arugula salad 9toasted pecans, Mano Formate pancetta, Laura Chenel chèvre... More
