The perfect place for a summer dinner alfresco!

I've been enjoying the girl & the fig for many years. I recently visited there to meet a girlfriend for an early summer dinner. The shaded patio was the perfect temperature and the service was warm and friendly. I always enjoy the fresh salads, with a french twist, so we knew we couldn't go wrong... read more

The food was average at best. However, upon ordering a tasting flight of wine, they try to hard to be cute/trendy. They serve each wine in a different small glass that is not conducive to actually tasting and smelling the wine. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to actually water down their own brand of Viognier in the... More

We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated immediately at a little corner booth although the place seemed packed when we walked in. We brought a bottle of Chardonnay with us and our server expertly opened the bottle, poured a little and put the rest on ice to cool. She brought us a small plate of assorted olives to munch... We had looked forward to dining at the Girl and the Fig for a couple of years. We even own the cookbook. My wife's duck confit was delicious. I ordered the Avocado Toast as my first course. When the toast proved too hard to cut, we called our server, #106, to the table to show him that fact. His solution... More

We loved our dinner experience. The weather is perfect, the patio is decorated with whimsical and nostalgic accessories, the tables are not too close together, and the service was very attentive. The starter tomato salad was excellent, and the goat cheese added to the taste. For mains, we had the perfectly prepared and delicious duck confit, and a very generously... More

The Girl and the Fig gets great reviews and deservingly so. Every time my husband and I are in Sonoma we make sure to stop in, even if it's just for drinks and appetizers. This visit was a Monday lunch date so we were pretty sure we could get a seat without reservations. On this warm day, I ordered their... More

I'd read about this place and several friends recommended it. We went for lunch and were hugely disappointed. Found the food badly prepared and some things barely edible. It was a huge disappointment and a waste of one of our meals in wine country.

The Girl & the Fig's reputation is well deserved. Delicious, creative foods, as well as classics (like great charcuterie and cheeses) and creative cocktails keep me coming back. On a recent girl's trip, I had waited too long to get reservations. Turns out that with between jet lag and a busy day, we were ready to eat at 6:30. Walked... More

We stopped in for wine and their cheese, meat and nut appetizer and it was everything we had hoped and more. Our waitress suggested we try their wines and paired the meat and cheese accordingly.

I booked this brunch before we left home. My hubby was skeptical but went along. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a lovely table outside on the patio at 10:15am. The weather was mild. The food lived up to the hype. It's a little pricy but worth it for the food and experience.
