My husband and I stumbled across the girl & the fig because it smelled so good walking past. We had the chicken liver mouse, which was delicious and their burger. The burger was char broiled and cooked perfectly. The service was friendly and quick. If we lived here it would be our new favorite restaurant.

We'd heard good things about this establishment, so we made a reservation a few weeks in advance and stopped in for an early-ish dinner after a nice day of wine tasting in Sonoma. Our reservation was shortly after 6p--it was that or after 8:30p by the time we reserved. Though I normally don't eat that early, we were ready, and... More

My friends did not lie. Girl & the Fig is EXCELLENT. The food was possibly one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. The outdoor seating was amazing. Above all, our waiter should get an award for his services. So knowledgeable and made so many great recommendations. Even got us a map of wineries for the next... More

Loved eating here. We all had the 3 course set menu which provided incredibly generous portions (based on Aussie standards at least). We were provided a seat outside at short notice (we walked in at 815) and the place was buzzing. It had a great relaxed feel but with serious presentation and service. Would return based on our experience.

Just what you hope for when you look for a restaurant in Sonoma. Fresh foods(many from their garden), local wines and somewhat of a learning experience, a very knowledgable waiter, divine steak frites. Would eat there agin if there weren't so many yummy places to try!

We were a group of 9 guys dining at this restaurant a Sunday evening. The restaurant was well visit and the food great without being outstanding. Drinks and cocktails are not a speciality as we sent several of these back because they were not able to make these the right way. Food is good and the have - of course... More

I've eaten here twice, once for lunch during a day of arranged wine tastings at local vineyards, and most recently just as an outing while traveling. I found the meal both times to be excellent. The menu for both food and wine was interesting and diverse. The service was excellent and deeply knowledgeable. I found the outdoor seating area (where... More

The food and the ambiance was wonderful, and well thought out. Clean, comfortable, and good portions. The service was a litte underwhelming. Bar tender would never look us in the eye, or stop what he was doing to take our order. Half the time I wasn't sure if he was taking to us, or someone else at the bar.

We ate there on a Sunday night. Get reservations ahead. Our group ate outside which was very pleasant. We started with mussels and pork belly (two separate dishes) which were both wonderful. Had the flounder and duck confit which were both very good! Our waitress had been given too many tables but that's a management issue, she was doing her... More

Recommended by our concierge at The Lodge At Sonoma, The Girl and The Fig is on the square. I would have to say is noisy, and very crowded, but you are able to make reservations which is a plus. Most noisy, crowded restaurants do not really turn me on, but somehow this one just seemed cozy and sortof fun. I... More
