I have lived in Sonoma for 35 years, and I was thrilled when my husband surprised me by taking me to the Girl and the Fig for my 60th birthday. I wasn't happy for long though when we and our dining partners were constantly excusing our butts for being in other people's faces because the tables were placed so close... More

This was my 2nd time at the Girl in the FIg (previous visit was March 2013). We shared an appetizer (the chicken liver mousse) and salad and each got an entree. Every course was delicious. Our dessert was also fantastic. I would definitely go back! The location to the Sonoma Plaza is also fantastic!

Visited while in town with another couple. While it looked very crowded and we had no reservation, we sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before they sat us at a table on the patio. Every service person we had went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. They were all very knowledgeable about the... More

Had dinner here recently with a bunch of girlfriends on our trip through Sonoma Wine Country. We loved it. We got a nice table in the back patio area...it was picturesque. We had a large group (11 girls), and our service was still impeccable. We really enjoyed our meals, and the desserts were outstanding...particularly the truffle dessert. Can't remember all... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal for two. Delicious soups and the frittes were Classic French. I had a beautiful late summer tomato watermelon salad that was delicious. Would definitely eat here again.

We really liked this Sonoma hot spot, right next to the square. Lots of enticing offerings on the menu and the wine list as well. I loved their arugula salad with figs and house made bacon. Mussels with frites was delicious, especially their skinny French fries with aioli. They have one of my favorite wines by the glass (Miner Viognier,... More

I sat at sunset in the beautiful under the light-bulbs courtyard. It has great ambiance music. I ordered the plat du jour with a fall squash soup (amazing) and grilled butcher steak. The paired wine was delicious, specially the grenache. Would recommend it any day, next time I'll try the sunday brunch.

My friend and I had dinner in the rear courtyard. The ambiance is simple and charming, the staff was courteous and efficient. The menu features locally sourced, farm to table options with reasonable portion sizes depending on what you choose; salads to mains are all delicious. We did have a pretty long wait (40 mins on a Wednesday evening), but... More

Amazing food with a knowledgeable waitstaff. The only negative was the hostess. I made the reservation a month in advance, arrived a bit early, and watched her seat several other larger parties before asking her again about my table for her to mumble about napkins and placing us in a recently opened table. Didn't start off well, but my waiter... More

We stopped in on a recommendation from the Visitor's center. They named a few places and after viewing the menu for the girl & the fig, we decided to eat here. I was wearing a "I love Sonoma" sticker that was given to us at the Visitors center. To our surprise, that little sticker got us a wonderful FREE cheese... More
