To be fair, we are not your average foodie couple. We are indie rockers, state school educated , enjoy thrift store shopping and we refuse to waste money. SO when I see the waitstaff running around in T-shirts and jeans in a fancy schmancy place, I say "rock on!" The waitress who served us was very enjoyable, made us feel... more

The food was nice, and according to one of my fellow travelers, their burger is awesome. My seafood was nice too, but could have benefited from more spice. Their cheese platter could also have been more generous and could have had more "stuff" on it (crackers, grapes, nuts etc). No complaints on the service. more

While on a girl's trip to California we tried this restaurant. Reservations were not required nor needed. It was busy but I think we caught it at just the right time. Its a lively restaurant with good ambiance. Our waiter was friendly, joked with us, and made excellent suggestions. The wine list was profound and they also do not have... more

While in Sonoma, we stopped at The Girl & the Fig based on a suggestion from my husband's co-worker. I took one look at the menu and was instantly excited! I love cheeses and gourmet sandwiches for lunch. To start, we ordered The Works:three selections of cheese, cured meats, seasonal fruit, house-made fig cake & baguette. Delicious! I can't remember... more

The food is delicious, service is good, but the atmosphere is the best for an intimate dinner. Always busy and for good reason. Love it. more

Great dining experience. We sat outside, which had a great, fun vibe. Heaters, fireplace, lots of people having a great time. Our server was terrific - very friendly and attentive and gave great menu advice. We both loved our meals - interesting and very flavorful. Seldom do restaurants seem to live up to their reputations, but for us, this one... more

We had reservations for lunch at 1:30. Our salads and sandwiches arrived at 2;25. The server NEVER checked with us after our drinks were served. The food was ok but with so many fabulous restaurants around this was not worth the wait! The meals were pricy and the portions very small. We weren't there during a busy time so there... more

We were recommended this place by a foodie friend and so had high hopes. Sadly, a little disappointed. The atmosphere was a little odd. Or rather the personality of the place was odd. The wait-staff seemed to be of the "we know better than ou" variety, nothing overt but just that vibe and yet they're all running around in jeans... more
