Family from Lucca owns this moderately priced Sonoma gem. Outdoor seating is on a lovely patio and on the few rainy winter days try to score a table by the wonderful indoor fireplace.

Short version: Pleasant atmosphere. Good food. Service that crossed over the line from laid-back to we-don't-value-you-at-all. Long version: Our foursome checked if DS would do corkage and they would, for $18. We brought a bottle of good sparkling wine from Iron Horse Winery nearby. After a long wait, the waiter finally comes to our table, we show him the wine,... More

What an awful experience. Spent an entire day wine tasting outdoors and indoors, not a single stain on the dress I brought to wear all day. Go to this restaurant for dinner, the server was handing off his work to the bus boy, who is not accustomed to serving. Next thing I know, as the bus boy is clearing the... More

We stayed in Sonoma and tried several different restaurants during our several days. This one was exceptional. Loved intimate courtyard, dimmed lighting, great service and outstanding food. My husband ordered the duck ragu over fresh pasta and I had the meat lasagne with bechamel top! YUM! The wine list was extensive but that night we ordered the house wine which... More

We had the joy of eating at this wonderful restaurant on our first night in Sonoma. What an excellent choice! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cute & romantic. Our server, Pablo, was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. A must-do in Sonoma!! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

COZY little place a half a block from the square. The food was very good. Halibut was fresh and well prepared. Our companion who had the steak said it was good, not great. My rabbit was prepared very old italian style with a robust sauce and olives. If you are hot natured, you might want to sit out in the... More

What a great experience at a restaurant. From warm greeting to making sure our tip was correct, there are no complaints. We were quickly seated, table wobbly 'cuz I moved it, quickly remedied, all done with a smile and a joke! Waiter answered all questions and recommendations were spot on for us. The Panzella salad and Tortellini are a no... More

If I didn't know any better I would have sworn I was eating in my Italian grandmother's kitchen! If I had an Italian grandmother her dinner would have been like this! Just arriving in Sonoma that afternoon the four of us wanted to eat early and have something yummy. (The front desk people at the Lodge at Sonoma have NEVER... More

if you want Italian food, this is a great spot a half block off the Sonoma Square. Connected to the restaurant is a great wine bar. Service, wine options, and food is wonderful. Make sure you make reservations (especially on the weekend).

We had a relative arrive from Seina Italy to visit and my wife and i planned a small family lunch. Well this lunch lasted for most of the afternoon and consisted of some of the most delightful appetizers along with a main pasta course and plenty of excellent wine selected by our host Rob Della Santina. The staff was excellent... More
