Great food, good service!

Be sure to book a reservation here - it fills up fast. Mostly with locals which is why I love it - there's a friendly and family-like atmosphere here that gets me every time. Food is incredible - I keep choosing whatever special of the day they offer, and allow them to choose the wine (they have an extensive list).... More

This restaurant is what I would envision for a wine country restaurant setting - casual yet classy, busy yet you feel like you could stay for hours. The food was fresh, the wine recommendation was spot on and the meal was memorable.

This weekend, I got to eat at El Dorado Kitchen, Cafe La Haye, and Depot Hotel. I live in Sonoma. I'm a foodie, but I don't necessarily eat out this much. I had friends in town, was celebrating fathers day (w'out my dad) who would've turned 80 this weekend. So EDK and Depot Hotel were awesome. Lunch at EDK. Sitting... More

Based on locals' recommendations, we ate here on a Friday night. It was hotter than usual that night and the restaurant was a little warmer than ideal. But the food was outstanding, with lots of interesting specials and a good selection of wines by the glass.

If you enjoy very good food in an intimate bistro style setting, this is your place. Make reservations. The locals know a good thing!

A very small restaurant with comfortable seating. They appear to have different specials everyday written in chalk on the wall. Our meals were fantastic, the service was fantastic, and we loved the atmosphere. The owner (or manager) checked in with us to make sure everything was good. They made the best Americano we had on our week long trip. Highly... More

Truly a meal worth talking about. Superb food, a great wine list, great service--what more can more can you ask for. Located just off the main plaza in Sonoma, Cafe La Haye is really the best place to dine in Sonoma. Scallops were cooked to perfection as was the flounder. Topping off the meal was a delicious mango sorbet. Clearly... More

Our second visit after touring nine great U.S. states. Easily the best. Food super with great service and impeccable ambience. Go and see for yourself. I'd offer to pay for your meal if you were disappointed but you won't. It's an experience, a great experience.

My B&B recommended this restaurant. I went early, as I was alone, and sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen. My waitress was super-helpful, and the owner was nearby and asked me several times if I was enjoying my meal. I did - immensely. The beet salad was sensational - one of the best I've ever had. Definitely a restaurant... More
