Great Food & Wine

Four of us went for dinner and were delighted. To start with, they have an impressive wine list at reasonable prices. Their corkage fee is $20 but after reviewing the wine list ahead of time we decided to go with their wine as it was both great and great value. The menu is small but everything we... read more

Sol Gropman has established a great tradition in Sonoma. Cafe La Haye is right off the Sonoma Square and has great charm, good food and wonderful staff. It's perfect for a date, business or dining alone for just the pleasure of it. The chef is creative but not precious. The sophistication is about good ingredients, proper presentation and excellent execution.... More

Excellent dining and drinking (wine list is expansive but with reasonable prices) in a small venue that makes the most out of white walls and interesting modern art. Service is very good, too. We had fresh trout and grilled asparagus. Very friendly atmosphere.

First rate from beginning to end. Cool ambiance, great staff, delicious food. We had the mixed greens salad, potato soup, and papardelle pasta with pork. Bread is upon request (get it--it's yummy). Nice wine list too. Everything was prepared with great care and quality. Make reservations, it's a small place and fills up quickly.

Small, you will need to call head, but excellent food. The Locals all love it. I have eaten there a half dozen times and always enjoyed it.

We were passing through town during dinner hour and called a friend who recommended this delightful restaurant. A block off the square and easily accessed. We were greeted nicely and seated at once. The menu is long enough to offer something for everyone, but not so long as to be painful. The service was prompt and courteous, and when my... More

Recommended by friends we came to Café La Haye with good feelings and great anticipation. Reviewing the menu selections we both wound up making similar choices. The Quail was cooked perfectly and served while warm. Mashed potatoes were added and were seasoned to taste. A choice of good wines finally arrived and we settled in to a fine meal. Service... More
