We were walking on the Square when a fellow with the same hat I was wearing stopped us and asked if we liked French Bread. We went inside with our coupon and ended up leaving with more than a free loaf. Coffee, sweets, and sandwiches were all at hand. The park across the street was a perfect place for a... More

Love the breads, salads and coffee. One caveat: it's usually packed to the rafters. Best time to go is early morning.

We had breakfast here every day in Sonoma. Was crowded but the food was good and reasonably priced, which is difficult to find anywhere in wine country. Would recommend

The Basque Boulangerie is almost a landmark. Although it's a bakery they have great lunches etc. - `sandwiches, quiche,,soups, salads and of course bakery goods as well as wine. Great place for casual meal, breakfast, lunch or snack. Order first and then pick up your food at counter.

We visited Basque for breakfast twice during our recent trip to Sonoma and will definitely return! The French toast is fabulous and highly recommended! Also had a breakfast roll on wonderful, fresh sourdough. Good coffee and the place is always crowded. Prices are low for Sonoma and a good value regardless. Sit outside for a lovely view of the town... More

Where to go, where to go.....found it! The coffee, quiche, crepes, croissant sandwiches are AWESOME. Want some bread pudding? Look no farther. Just want a great cup of Java to start the day; this is the place. Haven't tried the pastries yet but they look really good. Maybe tomorrow!

I was glad to have read some other reviews and picked this as a quick stop for lunch before heading out to a winery tour. It was a great sandwich lunch. My husband and I both order the chicken salad sandwich, which was very filling. Our teenagers ordered the BLT and the Grilled Cheese. Both gave a thumbs up. There... More

We always try to stop here when we're in town, and sometimes we're willing to just drive 2 hours to enjoy the place. You can sit inside or across in the park, enjoy espresso or sandwiches and just savor every bite of everything they make.

Saturday morning, 8AM, decided to get breakfast in Sonoma, one of the few places open around the square. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! We could have been in France or Italy. Friendly service, tables inside and out, great tasting egg and cheese croissants, good strong coffee, and all those baked goods. We enjoyed the local ambiance for about 45 minutes, then... More
