Coffee and pastries were very good. One of the baristas got our order wrong and then gave us attitude about it. But everyone has a bad day and it shouldn't dissuade you from trying their delicious pastries.

Even on a rainy morning, this bakery draws a crowd. The sweet bakery offerings complemented our hot cup of joe. Eating outside, we enjoyed our breakfast in a relaxing setting and felt our selections were worth bragging about....see photos!

Great croissants and breads. We got croissants, cookies, a brownie, a baguette and a tshirt [ only $10, 100% cotton]. everything was great and completed our picnic needs.

I just came in to have a breakfast and was nicely surprised by the quality of the food. Nicely prepared, freshly prepared and well spiced. Soy latte was ok, too. Good place to have breakfast, with the only inconvenience of hardly finding a place to sit on a Saturday morning, which seems to be normal in Sonoma on weekends.

No trip to the Sonoma Plaza would be complete without a stop by the Basque Bakery for great breads, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. Everything is freshly baked in the back, inexpensive, and delicious. The only problem is seating, which is limited. Of course, right across the street are plenty of picnic tables in the Plaza. The main problem is deciding... More

This is the second time I've had bad coffee here. The first time I had a double espresso and it turned out to be very bitter and not enjoyable. The second time, we had americanos which were so watered down you could hardly taste much coffee. Even after they added another shot of espresso, they still seemed very weak. As... More

We had been driving to Sonoma and it was time for our coffee break. The bakery was gorgeous. They make all kinds of breads, muffins, croissants, etc. The Carrot Apple muffin was scrumptious We bought a loaf of sour dough whole wheat.

We had brunch at Basque Boulangerie in downtown Sonoma and enjoyed our meal so much we decided to route our return to San Jose through Sonoma so we could return the next day. It did not disappoint and we bought a pie to take back and enjoyed it later.

Friendly place with very good deli food but the real draw is the bakery with a nice selection of all the decadent treats you could want. Prices are a little high but I guess the answer to that is :you know you want it, and its good tasting stuff. Taste is consistent with top quality ingredients. I'm going back! Sitting... More
