The best place for breakfast in Sonoma

My wife and I recently visited Sonoma and lucked into finding this cute little bakery just off the square in the downtown area. We figured we were in for a treat right off the bat, not only because of the wonderful smells of the bakery, but also because it is obviously the 'go to' spot for the... read more

When the cheese factory did not have any sourdough bread left, the clerk suggested this bakery. We looked at the sourdough offerings and purchased a round loaf for $3. It was fresh, yes, but not sour at all. We were quite disappointed and did not eat very much of it.

Good coffee, nice healthy alternatives to pastries, like fruit bowls. Loved that we could sit outside and see Sonoma's town green while we relaxed.

A nice place to enjoy coffee and one of their delicious pastries, either at a sidewalk table or in the Plaza across the street.

Sadly, the change of ownership has brought about a much smaller selection and of much poorer quality at this once hard to beat bakery. It was a Sonoma mainstay, no longer . It was the Saturday morning stop for baked goods in our household, now we find if you arrive later than 8:00 am, the selection is poor. When I... More

If you want to meet the locals, show up in the morning and have coffee outside. It's a regular destination for residents to gather and have their morning coffee. Try the cinnamon raisin toast for an early morning taste treat.

I love to get coffee and a loaf of the amazing bread here when my kids get me up too early. The food is really good and people seem to be having a nice time relaxing and meeting with friends. It doesn't appear to go out of their way for kids but I don't blame them. They are busy and... More

We had been here a couple of years ago and enjoyed the authentically French pastries and ambiance. The new owner has kept some of the French details, but the food, the coffee, and the atmosphere were. Instead of buttery and flakey, pastries were greasy. Caters to tourists who are passing through. We will not be back.

My best friend and I had a Girls Weekend in Sonoma. We ended our trip with brunch at Basque Boulangerie. We heard from the hotel staff that their food was amazing so we decided to give it a try. We both split the PANINI with chicken apple sausage, egg, spinach & cheese and the SMOKED SALMON tartine with cream cheese,... More
