Sonoma's premiere morning meeting place

If you want to meet the locals, show up in the morning and have coffee outside. It's a regular destination for residents to gather and have their morning coffee. Try the cinnamon raisin toast for an early morning taste treat.

I love to get coffee and a loaf of the amazing bread here when my kids get me up too early. The food is really good and people seem to be having a nice time relaxing and meeting with friends. It doesn't appear to go out of their way for kids but I don't blame them. They are busy and... More

We had been here a couple of years ago and enjoyed the authentically French pastries and ambiance. The new owner has kept some of the French details, but the food, the coffee, and the atmosphere were. Instead of buttery and flakey, pastries were greasy. Caters to tourists who are passing through. We will not be back.

My best friend and I had a Girls Weekend in Sonoma. We ended our trip with brunch at Basque Boulangerie. We heard from the hotel staff that their food was amazing so we decided to give it a try. We both split the PANINI with chicken apple sausage, egg, spinach & cheese and the SMOKED SALMON tartine with cream cheese,... More

This is our first day in Sonoma. We found the plaza and we need a place to sit and have a bite. We don't want anything to serious and expensive. Well, looked my trip advisor & this place popped up. 4.5 stars with only one $...let's try this. It is well located in the plaza area, very busy when we... More

Loved this neighborhood spot on the square. Many locals were there ordering to go pastries and sitting outside enjoying coffee on a Saturday morning. We each had the breakfast croissant with egg, bacon and cheese (you can choose the type of cheese). I ordered mine with egg whites even though it's not a menu option. They were large and very... We spent a good hour with nice coffee and homemade cookies while sitting on the sidewalk; BUT that was after we'd clean the tables from the previous people. In the hour whilst we were there no one from the café came to clean up and it was left to the clients. Isn't cleaning the tables part of what we pay... More

One night after dinner we walked past this place and there were baking bread for the next day. Boy did it smell good and we knew we had to come back. The next afternoon we stopped in and bought a loaf of sourdough bread. It was delicious!

We couldn't resist the call of the pastries in the morning but were pleasantly surprised by the piping hot and plentiful ham/cheese/egg croissant that greeted us! It was huge (we could have split one) and super fresh. Great way to start a day before hiking and wine tasting. Quaint but bustling place. Love the outdoor eating area too. Definitely make... More
