This bakery/restaurant is in the heart of downtown Sonoma, CA. There are 4 tables out front where you can sit sipping your coffee and have an excellent pastry or sandwich. People-watching is at its finest. All baking is done on the premise. .My favorite in the rolls are the Dutch Crunch, they are usually snapped up early in the morning.... More

The food was good, but the service could be better. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, the wait staff at the counter shifted to another area and totally neglected us. it was however, reasonably priced and the sandiwches were fine.

We've been to Basque Boulangerie several times, and this place does not disappoint. Pretty much any sandwich is good, because their freshly baked bread is fantastic. The smell of baking bread alone will make your mouth water. Try their cheese sticks, panini, or croissants, yum! It can be difficult to get a seat, but you can always order your food... More

We came for breakfast two mornings and loved everything we had. The breakfast panini was huge - plenty to share. The ham and cheese crepes were heavenly as was the ham and cheese croissant. Delicious olive baguette for a picnic. It was very crowded. We got take-out one day and sat at the small bar another day. Very good coffee... More

We enjoyed our first breakfast in Sonoma at this establishment. The breakfast sandwiches and pastries were great. This bakery clearly serves both locals and tourists. We also bought bread here for the remainder of our visit. They had a highchair for us and the cookies were memorable.

We can see why the locals frequent this place; very busy in the morning but they get to you quickly. Have tried the ham, egg & cheese crepes, veggie panini and French toast at different visits. They have tables, counter seating inside and tables outside so most times unless you just want to take it to go, should have a... More

This is the place to go and be seen in Sonoma! The locals meet here in the mornings before work. The pastries are wonderful, the French toast is amazing, and the daily specials varied and satisfying. The latte is the best on the planet. I meet a friend here for coffee at least once a week. The staff and locals... More

Wonderful bread and pastries. Don't miss the cheese sticks, they are to die for especially after a "hard night" in town. :) Coffee is "ok" by american standards but definitely nothing special - have the iced tea instead, it's really good.
