The freshly cooked daily breads/cakes are a must. Very popular with the locals but worth the wait (no too long as staff work very hard)

When in Sonoma we always stop here for breakfast or lunch and even get pastries to go. The food is wonderful and the service is helpful beyond belief. The pastries, my mouth waters just typing this review. It does get quite crowded in the early morning, but it is all part of the experience. The reason for the crowds is... More

Best Cappuccino I had in Sonoma. Croissant breakfast sandwich was excellent. Gets pretty crowded in the mornings. Some outdoor seating.

A young woman working behind the counter seemed as though she was stoned out of her mind- she was overly friendly and insisted knowing my name, where I was from and if I was married or not--she had clearly been hitting some sort of pipe. she was disheveled and disorganized as was the rest of the staff. Cheese on my... More

This is a wonderful spot to sit outside and watch the world go by with a great cup of coffee and a pastry. Very friendly staff. Tried the multigrain buns which were delicious but my favorite was a multigrain bread with sunflower seeds that they only bake on Saturday. The soup and sandwiches look wonderful; I'll have to try them... More

We stopped and had breakfast paninis and coffee in the morning. Also grabbed some sourdough. All were very tasty. Highly recommend.

Used to live in Sonoma. Use to be the French Bakery. Was back and made the stop. Still good but somehow not quite the same. Coffee was fresh and good. Went back for lunch and it was good. Maybe I just wanted to see some of the old faces? It has been sold.

OK, I hate to say unkind things about this place- it seems that most people like it. We stopped there for cookies to add to our picnic- they were so sweet that the flavors (coconut, citrus, etc.) were indiscernible. In fact, I think even the cookies from the Costco bakery are better. We also purchased a loaf of olive bread,... More

We stopped in for a light lunch on a Tuesday at 1:30 PM and there were no crowds but a steady stream of customers. We shared a very juicy and tender Reuben sandwich on their rye bread and a small salad of baby greens. The items were prepared quickly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality presented. We also had... More

The bakery was good and the staff was friendly. I made a joke that I wanted to take the free samples and they put them all in a bag and gave them to me. All the time I keep saying I was joking. They said they have more samples to put out.
