We were on a four week road trip around California and made sure that our route took us to Solvang. This was the second time we have visited Solvang and we absolutely love the place. We were walking around enjoying the sights and decided to go into the Solvang Restaurant for a coffee, and then suddenly the Aebelskivers took our... More

This is our go to restaurant in Solving for lunch. They have a great chicken and waffle served with real maple syrup that I always end up getting. They have many other items, but I just can't seem to get enough chicken and waffles. My wife loves the adult grilled cheese with French fries. Come and give them a try,... More

I always try and taste the local cuisine, no matter where I am. While we did not sit down to eat, we did stop and try the aebelskivers (sp). Different, but delicious. Would definitely go back for those!

You must stop in to this well oiled machine of a restaurant. The wait staff is wonderful! The menu has amazing choices, cooked fresh! Ample portions, so be careful (you might be able to split) Add an order of the Aebelskivers and Danish Sausage (we split an order). Highly recommend!

There is a reason there are long lines at the window to buy aebelskivers take out. They are covered with raspberry jam and sprinkled with powdered sugar. (FYI an aebelskiver is a spherical shaped pancake.) You simply cannot leave Solvang without trying these. We actually enjoyed breakfast inside the restaurant. The Danish sausage and chicken and waffles were both great... More

Nice selection of breakfast items. The Aebleskivers and Danish Sausage are wonderful. Eggs are fantastic. Don't miss the chili, chorizo, and corned beef selections. They take great care of you. It's a great place for breakfast and lunch.

A friend who lives in the area picked this restaurant for breakfast because she loves the aebleskivers. My husband and I split an order of the aebleskivers with ice cream and the California eggs benedict. The eggs benedict was meh. And the aebleskivers were indeed yummy, but nothing out of this world. If you're dying to try them though, I... More

Despite it being busy, we didn't have to wait much to be seated. We seemed to get there right when the lines had died down. Yay! Plan to be there awhile though, as the service is a little on the slow side. (They probably need more staff.) We enjoyed the local cuisine, it's always fun to try something different. They... More

If you go to Solvang you have to try aebleskivers. We were very pleased with these Danish treats bought from the walk-up window at the Solvang Restaurant.
