Enjoyable lunch

Great place to sample Danish food. Husband had the sandwich platter-it was ok but the Comination plate I ordered was better. A Danish meatball & gravy, a Danish sausage and red cabbage ( with a side of sauerkraut) :-) We liked it. We finished with an order of Askerblitzes to finish -stuffed!

It is almost an obligation to try aebleskivers while in Solvang, and this place is very popular for that reason. I recommend going early, as the wait gets longer as the day goes on. I put our name on the list, were told it was a 30 minute wait, we did more shopping and came back. Aebleskiver translates into English... More

My wife and I had breakfast here on our last morning in Solvang. The were not real busy since it was a Monday. Service was very good. Our waitress was prompt with water and coffee and kept them full. The food was very good. We typically eat a bigger breakfast, snack for lunch, and eat dinner. This kept us going... More

Our last meal of our Solvang weekend. After experiencing poor meals and good meals in Solvang, this little Restaraunt was a good experience. There was a genuine sense of local charm as regular patrons came in for Sunday breakfast. The meal was tasty. The aebelskivers were fresh and sweet. The slice of canned Danish ham was just like the ham... More

Ate here with friends while on a day trip to Solvang. Lots of hype about the place with world famous aebleskivers and all. The restaurant has a small town diner feel with booths and tables. We were there at lunch and seated right away. Our server, a blonde lady, was not cute, but less than hospitable. Was almost like she... More

Great food to dine in and don't forget to order your aebleskiver. This was my first time coming to the restaurant. And it was a good thing that we came early as early as lunch time, there was already a line to order their famous aebleskiver. We were even seated at the corner table next to the window. The servers... More

This has been a favorite stop over the years as we love to sit and enjoy the Aebleskivers. We were seated in their 'most famous' booth (where a scene from the movie 'Sideways' was filmed) and the service was just fine, however two of the three Aebleskivers I was served were over-cooked, one a bit burnt and turned down so... I call this place the 'diner' style place. I'm pretty picky when it comes to 'old school diner' places and expect cleanliness. This place feel clean but it's still a diner. I LOVE the aebelskivers and usually just for a plate of those, but friends ordered a full breakfast and that was typical diner food with average quality.

We arrived in Solvang at lunch time so decided to try their split pea soup and their specialty Danish pastry. I thought the soup was just OK while hubby liked it. We both loved the Ableskiver with the raspberry sauce. We found street parking about two block away from the restaurant. It is definitely a tourist town with the Danish... More
