Lovely folks but the bakery just did nothing for me. Bought a box of butter cookies that were just not fresh. Known of the delicious buttery and melt in your mouth flavor. Also bought a Danish to eat right then for breakfast and it was good but nothing to get you to go back. Did have a good Latte and... More

There are a lot of Danish bakeries in Solvang to choose from, but we chose Solvang Bakery because of previous reviews. This bakery has such a welcoming feeling from the friendly staff to the sweet decor. We shared a big cream puff which was the perfect size for 2. The whipped cream and cream filling were so yummy! They also... More

We stopped here after the manager (or owner?) at Birkholm's Bakery was jaw-droppingly rude.We left and headed down the street. The two women who waited on us at The Solvang Bakery were just lovely -- and one of them had already put in a full day as a 2nd grade teacher! Pastries were delicious.

We couldn't resist the look of the cream puffs at Solvang Bakery, and they did not disappoint. The custard and cream filling was excellent. Be warned there is no delicate way to eat them, and they are massive. We will be back to try a Danish which also looked delicious.

I bought the danish ring with almond custed and raisins was very good even after a few days. I also had their crossbun and bearclaw which were quite good. It was a treat sitting in the sun enjoying the pastry while people watching. You should get your coffee fix somewgere else though.

The window displays, particularly of Solvang bakery was stunning, so I gave in to my temptation and I bought some chocolate cookies and Danish pastry to eat for later which were delicious.
