Charming with great food

The food was fantastic. We are not big eaters, so the Mirabelle salad, an appetizer, and, of course, a glass of wine, each satisfied us. The staff were all very pleasant.

A friend and I were visiting the Santa Ynez Valley and Mirabelle had come highly recommended -- and I can see why! In addition to the food and wine being superb, the service and presentation were impeccable. We both chose the Chef's tasting menu. Each course was creatively crafted, cooked to perfection and paired with a delicious local wine that... More

By far the best dining in Solvang. Very warm welcome, nicely appointed dining room. We were served by the owner, a charming young man. We chose the chef's menu, a four course dinner of lobster salad, grilled/smoked scallop, filet w/ wild mushrooms, and decadent chocolate mousse.

We visited Mirabelle again last night for a special occasion. We each had the Prix Fix 5 course dinner and left so happy! Despite the place being really busy, Richard Bruce - the owner - and his small staff gave us a warm welcome and detailed attention for over 2 1/2 hours. The chef is amazing and has strong experience... More

Owners Richard & Ale are charming, friendly and attentive. The small, intimate dining room is typically quiet and allows for personal service. For me, the perfect dining experience. The chef is "spot on" having been schooled my master chef Norbert Schulz. The menu is varied and flavors outstanding. You cannot go wrong with any selection from the menu. Personally, I... More

We were a group of 5 scheduled to dine at 6:30 in mid March. We were warmly greeted by our server, who it turned out to be the owner of the restaurant, attached to a B&B. He took us through the menu using wonderful expressions of the various meals. He was right-on on the five entrees that we ordered. As... More

We were on a Trek Bike trip and on one of our off nights needed to find a place for dinner. Reviews were high and the menu looked interesting. Along on our trip, we had 2 Brazilians and the owners are from Brazil and made our friends feel right at home speaking Portugese and explaining the menu options which included... More

Staying at the Mirabelle Inn so how convenient to just walk downstairs to a fantastic fine dining experience. Bad timing on our part that we started dieting this week, watching our carb intake. But no problem here. The chef altered his menu to fit our low carb diet. Best piece of mahi mahi I have had in a long time... More

We visited Mirabelle for dinner and decided to have the 4-course tasting menu. The lobster and scallop from the first two courses were cooked well, but the accompaniments missed the mark a bit. The kitchen is clearly trying to put out sophisticated cuisine, but it was not hitting this target with any of the courses. While the wine pairing was... More

These guys know good food. Aly, the manager, is a delight. She is warm, engaging and so much fun. From Brazil, she studied as UC Davis and is a wine maker to boot. She and Richard (her husband) run a fine restaurant. I had the tasting menu and my wife had the scallops. All the food was impeccably selected and... More
