Do you want to fine dine in Solvang, CA?

We were a group of 5 scheduled to dine at 6:30 in mid March. We were warmly greeted by our server, who it turned out to be the owner of the restaurant, attached to a B&B. He took us through the menu using wonderful expressions of the various meals. He was right-on on the five entrees that we... read more

We were on a Trek Bike trip and on one of our off nights needed to find a place for dinner. Reviews were high and the menu looked interesting. Along on our trip, we had 2 Brazilians and the owners are from Brazil and made our friends feel right at home speaking Portugese and explaining the menu options which included... More

Staying at the Mirabelle Inn so how convenient to just walk downstairs to a fantastic fine dining experience. Bad timing on our part that we started dieting this week, watching our carb intake. But no problem here. The chef altered his menu to fit our low carb diet. Best piece of mahi mahi I have had in a long time... More

We visited Mirabelle for dinner and decided to have the 4-course tasting menu. The lobster and scallop from the first two courses were cooked well, but the accompaniments missed the mark a bit. The kitchen is clearly trying to put out sophisticated cuisine, but it was not hitting this target with any of the courses. While the wine pairing was... More

These guys know good food. Aly, the manager, is a delight. She is warm, engaging and so much fun. From Brazil, she studied as UC Davis and is a wine maker to boot. She and Richard (her husband) run a fine restaurant. I had the tasting menu and my wife had the scallops. All the food was impeccably selected and... More

This is one of the better restaurants in the Santa Ynez Valley. It's very cozy and off the beaten path. And you can bring your own wine, although I can't remember if there is a corkage fee. The food and service was excellent, but a bit expensive. So for a special dinner I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The ambiance is very good as is the food. We had Christmas dinner and they had a special menu, which I thought was overpriced. We weren't aware of the pricing in advance. We brought our own bottle of wine and the waiter comped the corkage of $20, which we appreciated. That took some of the sting out of the pricing.... More

While looking online for an appealing menu, I came across Marabelle. Searching the Santa Ynez area, I did not expect to find a high end restaurant in Solvang. We made a reservation and ended up having an exquisite meal. Maribelle offered a Michelin-like quality experience. The steak and duck were a sensory delight. I have been to the Santa Ynez... More

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Mirabelle and had a delightful experience. The food was wonderfully presented and delicious....especially the crab cake appetizers. The entrees were top notch as well; I had the filet with onion rings (yummy) and my husband had the scallops which were served with tasty pumpkin gnocchi. The owner, Richard and his wife were... We had a very pleasant and surprising dining experience at the Mirabelle restaurant in Solvang. The food, service and ambiance were first class. I live in France and have pretty high expectations when it comes to dining, and did not expect to have them met in a Solvang restaurant -- this restaurant is excellent. I had the most mouth-watering meal... More
