I spend an amazing evening with my girlfriend at the Blanca yesterday. Our reservation was for 6:45, and we were promptly seated in an almost empty dining room. Half an hour later, the place was full. Our waiter was with us immediately, answered all questions about the menu and gave very knowledgeable wine suggestions. Read reviews on this site and others and was looking forward to a great meal. I was greatly disappointed. THe place looks great and has a nice positive energy vibe. First negative was would only cork 2 of the four wine bottles we brought. This despite charging a $30 corkage, which in MHO is at least 10 above top flight... more

Blanca is less than a year old, and is a wonderful special occasion resturant. It has a small, classically decorated dining room with well-attended wait staff. A diverse California menu was accented with classic gourmet touches. I was especially impressed with the fact that the breads, entrees, and coffees arrived pipping hot! All of these things come with a cost.... more
