We used to LOVE Blanca, went there at least once a month, happy hours, business dinners, personal dinners. Unfortunately the old chef left to move on to bigger and better things. Positives: Very good food, attractively served. Nice ambiance Negatives: Terrible service...not just bad; TERRIBLE. They have some sort of "team" approach which means that there are lots of different people waiting on you, but not one of them is in charge or knows what the other staff have or have not done for your table. We celebrated my son's 20th birthday recently by letting him pick any San Diego area restaurant for dinner. The on-the-fly veggie entree was a miss, but everything else (ambiance, service, salad, dessert) was great! more

We had a great experience here! The chef sent out several complimentary tastings of different starters and soups. The service was outstanding which should be expected for the prices we paid. more
