We were told to try the Pizza Port restaurant in Solana Beach by some locals and we were sure glad we did. Probably some of the best pizza I have ever had. The atmosphere is fantastic. Picnic tables are what you sit at in the place which gives it a beach front feel. Craft beers which are awesome. Good for... More

Cool vibe at this micro brewery/pizza place...not sure which I would say it is more of. This is not a recreation of something cool, but the original. I had a half cheese half mushroom pizza that I will say was a 6.5 on the pizza scale. It is a little on the dough side and the cheese reminded a bit... More

Sure it's crowded. That's part of its charm. Pizza Port serves pizza with an attitude. It's deafeningly loud. You'll be packed in like sardines. And the surfers and wannabes wouldn't have it any other way. You go there for the vibe. The fact that the pizza is good and the beer is great is almost incidental.

What would have proven a good place to eat, was severely tarnished by the restaurant being too crowded. Our party of ten struggled to find adequate seating, and ended up settling for sharing a bench. The pizza was good. Due to so many diners, the noise level was not for the faint of hearted. Were I to dine here again,... More

We visited Pizza Port on the recommendation of a friend. At mid-afternoon it was packed. Very casual, fun place with family-style seating indoors (outdoor seats were full when we arrived). We tried the Solana pizza, which was a little different from the typical, and good. They had a good selection of beers. Both staff and other guests (sharing a table)... More

I have been here at least a dozen times and it never disappoints. The beer selection alone is worth the trip. The Swami IPA is my favorite. I recommend the carlsbad pizza which has pesto, chicken, and sun dried tomatoes. If you go take a walk to Fletcher's cove as it has a beautiful view of the ocean and you... More

This restaurant is definitely laid back and loud. We went around 5 pm on a Saturday. We sat at a picnic table. The restaurant is crowded and lots of different age groups were there, families, couples, teens and twenty something's. We had pepperoni pizza, it was very good. I especially liked the sweet pizza sauce.

Husband is a craft beer nerd and the kids and I live pizza. They enjoyed building their own by choosing the ingredients. Great laid back atmosphere.

I had been to Pizza Port before but it is always nice to go back and visit again. I had forgotten that it was only counter service (which is a bit of a nuisance). The pizza was excellent and they brew their own beer which satisfies my taste for craft beer. It's a very casual environment but a great place... More
