Zinc service is quick, tasty and reasonably priced. We both had the Vegetable Lasagna and it was delicious. The food is attractive to the eye and quite good. The salad greens were crisp and not over dressed with salad dressing. The second time we ate, I had vegetable salads with a twice baked potato. Again the food was delicious, well... More

Whenever I am in the area -- once or twice a year -- I head to Zinc in Solana Beach for their excellent coffee [regular, cappuccino, latte], and usually have a croissant or a pastry. Friendly service, pleasant outdoor seating, and a pretty good breakfast menu plus salads, sandwiches, pastries, etc. all at reasonable prices. -- Stroll the area's shops... More

Great for coffee and casual breakfast, brunch and lunch. Most of the seating is outdoors around a sweet little fountain. The menu is vegetarian (including dairy and eggs), but it actually took me a long time to notice that because the variety is great and everything is so savory. The kitchen is tiny, the place is almost always busy, and... More

Always liked that place. Morning coffee after a beach walk or before shopping. Love their outdoor seating. Haven't tried the food recently, but the coffee was good. The service is okay, but sometime you have to line up to get your food or drinks.

I have been to Zinc a few times now and they need to improve all aspects of their cafe if they want to survive in Solana Beach. The scones are bland, the staff unimpressively helpful, and the food options are limited. The coffee is above average, but that is the extent of it. Head up north a few blocks to... More

I came here for a late solo lunch and looked forward to eating the lunch burrito. I was so disappointed. The brown rice was hard and crunchy, so after eating a couple of bites, I sent the burrito back and had them make me a new one. The rice was fine this go around, but the flavor was overpowering. Too... More

I am so happy this place in Solana Beach. They have good vegan food as well as other selections for the 'non vegans' who are dining with you. A Solana Beach landmark located on trendy Cedros Street. Breakfast & Lunch dining al fresco on a lovely, cozy patio on a nice day.

The food here has so much flavor. Amazing what they do in such a small cafe. Not a place for animal proteins, but so delicious and lots of variety. Soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas -- specials run out fast and are worth return visits, and desserts. Crazy good Creme Brûlée. Very good Gluten Free Pizzas too. Parking is difficult to find... More

A friend invited myself and my housegest to the Zinc Cafe & Market; this one is in Corona Del Mar and they and Solana Beach are the same owner and same food so it's relevant. First of all, it's a darling place on the main part of downtown with adequate parking in front of and on the side of the... More
