A friend and I used a Groupon to go to Parioli for a cooking class. We had the greatest time! The restaurant itself is very romantic, with white table cloths and candles. The cooking class is in the back of the restaurant, under a covered canopy with lighting. We felt pampered. The chef was so much fun. He showed us... More

We visited on a Sunday evening of a 3-day weekend. The wait staff was attentive and personable. The basic salad with locally grown greens was very tasteful. The lasagna was good but not great. The prices were reasonable. Nice experience.

A friendly small Italian restaurant with friendly staff. Food was tasty and enjoyable. Comfortable atmosphere. Worthy of a return trip if we get back to Solana Beach

We went here while on holiday in SD...we were supposed to be meeting a friend and his wife and their 2 year old daughter there (their recommendation). Unfortunately they didn't make it as their daughter had a tummy bug...but by that point we were already at the restaurant at a table. We knew our little boy (18 months old) wasn't... More

We frequently take out-of-town guests to Parioli, because the food is always excellent, the service attentive, and the atmosphere charming. My husband and I have traveled often in Italy and one reason we enjoy Parioli is that it tastes like authentic Italian food. The salads are terrific. The wine list is interesting and affordable. Unlike many restaurants the pours are... More

Three friends and I had dinner at Parioli Italian Bistro. As the online listings had recommended reservations, we had made them. There would have been no need. On the Tuesday night that we were there in May, with fires all over San Diego County, there were many empty tables. We found the food to be average Italian. There were several... More

We travel 4 months a year so we know when an establishment serves a good meal. Veal picata was excellent, spagetti bolanese was very tasty, add a sprinkle of red peppers and it was amazing. Bus staff was attentive, owner took order and answered questions. Bread pudding, shared with spouse was perect finish to a great meal. Best of the... More

The restaurant is a small, casual place with charm. We didn't have reservations on a Friday night, but they were able to take us within a half hour. The Italian servers (possibly the owners) were very nice. The service was great but the food was average. We had a salad and two different pasta dishes, all average. We didn't stay... More

This is a nearby restaurant in my community, which I hadn't been to for a couple of years. The last two times I dined at Parioli I was rather disappointed. This time, though, was different. My husband and I received excellent service from our French(?!) waiter. The wine and drink list was very good, and I had a delicious cocktail... More
