Great food, good fun.

The food was really good, and a very fun environment. Prices are reasonable and the drinks are very reasonably priced.

I love this lace to my GO TO HOME RUN, in my back yard, place to go. Fidel's has been there for years and the service is top notch, service is "on it" you have fresh hot chips and salsa as soon as you sit down, margaritas are yummy (usually one is good enough) get the Perfect Marg...Gary will make... Fidel's was recommended to me by my brother. He lived in San Diego for many years, so when I came to visit my daughters and their families, it was where I suggested we try. Nice atmosphere, but I'll never listen to my brother again. My dinner was a 2 on the 1-10 scale. The chicken was way over cooked and... More

This is the real deal. I'm pretty critical of Mexican restaurants, but this place is firing on all cylinders. First off, the chips/salsa are home-made and wonderful. To boot, the house margaritas matched it. Don't splurge on the expensive margaritas, stick with the house and enjoy. My chili relleno was to die for. Perfectly done with fresh peppers, excellent texture... More

I love their chicken (all white meat chicken) & rice soup topped with fresh sliced avocado. Their carnitas is delicious. And their cheese crisp is wonderful too.!

I felt like I stepped into Mexico. I drove by the restaurant on the way somewhere else and thought to myself, that looks like a really good, authentic Mexican restaurant! And I was right! The family and I enjoyed great food, I had chili relleno that was superb and my hubby had a burrito. The kids were able to get... More

Local, family-owned Mexican restaurant with delicious, reasonably priced food. Start your visit off with an ice cold beer and the never-ending refills of warm chips and salsa, just be sure to save room for your meal! Love their carnitas burrito, be sure to ask for it served "wet" with the green tomatillo sauce, and ask for extra sauce on the... More

This rambling casual restaurant served the best carne asada I can remember. The meat was tender and well-flavored, grilled nicely on the outside without being tough or overcooked on the inside. The pitcher of house margaritas was quite nice as well, but only pours four small glasses so be prepared to order more!

Upon a friend's recommendation, we went to Fidel's in 1976 and found the little beach town of Solana Beach and we moved here from the Bay Area. We have been going to Fidels for birthdays and other celebrations since our sons were babies and they are now over 40! We've seen the restaurant grow from the little room where Fidel's... More
