We stop here for breakfast every time we are in town. We always order the pineapple pancakes, but it large so we do the half order. We also love the benedict, chilaquiles, and generous pour for the large mimosa

We were visiting Carlsbad and found this wonderful restaurant for brunch. We waited at least 30min to get a table on a Sunday. It was definitely worth the wait. We were amazed at many choices from breakfast to lunch they offer. We thought the service and food were equally as good. We look forward to coming back again.

This is our favorite breakfast spot in North County. I get either the salmon or breakfast omelette and my wife gets the pancakes. The servings are generous. I recommend the muffins also.

Restaurant and parking were easy to find. There were quite a few people waiting outside but we were able to get an indoor table for two immediately. Despite being cozy, there was still enough space between tables to allow some privacy and conversation. The food and service were great. There were even more people waiting when we left. It might... Beach Grass is great. A huge menu of breakfasts and we couldn't find one we didn't like. Favorites include the French Toast, all of the scrambles, all of the pancakes, just regular eggs and bacon, and great coffees, especially mochas. Try it. (Lunch is great, too!)

All the food here is really good.....but the pineapple upside down pancakes and the bacon cheddar pancakes are amazing. The Pineapple gets kind of carmelized and doesn't need syrup. Believe it or not they aren't overly sweet. Just delicious. Another favorite is the spinach, mushroom, feta scramble. For lunch, their fish tacos are super good.

We stopped here looking for a good place for breakfast and we found it. I had the pineapple upside down pancakes, with a side of bacon and a great cup of coffee. My husband had the turkey hash with home fries and really enjoyed it. We highly recommend this place.

We come to Solana Beach every year for the winter and one of the first stops we make is at the Beach Grass Cafe. Everything we have had there has been good but the pineapple upside down pancakes are out of this world. The service is friendly an efficient and the restaurant is clean and well maintained.

We visited beach grass café on our first morning in Solana beach and had a lovely first holiday breakfast! 4 out of 5 of us had pancakes, all trying something different from the menu and they were all gorgeous!
