Located across from the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Race Track, our third restaurant has been a San Diego North County favorite since it opened in 1981. This bustling restaurant encourages friendly and convivial dining, with the help of a comfortable oyster bar and cozy cocktail bar and lounge, and front-and-center retail market, widely known by those seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish. We also offer a private room suitable for a large party gathering.

One of our Favorites when we Visit

Whenever we return to Solana Beach to visit we always make sure to eat a meal or two at the Fish Market. We love the food here, Fresh food, good service and the prices are not too pricey. Came here for my birthday because I wanted a nice fish dinner, and also raw oysters. Although not on the menu, our server was happy to make a half serving of oysters for me. The fresh mesquite grilled salmon I had was SO good! There is a choice of 2 sides - fairly simple items like white rice, tomatoes, slaw,... More

Call us crazy, but on our little California vacation, this was the best meal we had...it was THAT delicious! Our server was new and being trained, but she didn't hesitate to ask her trainer for advice to offer us, which was greatly appreciated. The clam chowder and sourdough bread was so good that the mere memory makes me salivate. Our... More

A nice seafood atmosphere for dining. Service was good & friendly. Food was good but not great. Portions & preparations were typical. Parking was a challenge from lack of space. I enjoyed Opah which is hard to find except in Hawaii. If you go you will like it!

Six of us went to dinner here....no one was disappointed. Service was great...no fault with the food and there was a nice variety of seafood. Our only complaint was that it was very noisy. Yes it was Friday night and it was very crowded. Might go back on a different night but it seems to stay very busy.

We were a little wary after reading some mixed reviews, but we couldn't find any reason to complain after having dinner here recently. They have a nice selection of local beers available and an extensive menu of seafood. The sourdough bread they bring to each table is quite good. My wife had the grilled rockfish and I had the grilled... More

The early dinner/late lunch special is a good deal. The entree is generous and comes with sourdough bread and chowder. It's a good place to buy fresh fish as well.

The salmon in my mouth like butter. It was cooked to perfection. And the management was very helpful when my salad dressing was not up to par.

The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the clam chowder was the best ever. The staff was friendly, attentive and responsive.
