Seafood in San Diego is expensive. Obviously, plenty of people can afford it because The Fish Market is always packed and it's a great choice for the area. My go-to move here though, is the white clam chowder to go. A quart is $8.25 and comes with a loaf of warm, fresh sourdough bread. It's the best New England Clam... More

A friend of mine hyped this place up a lot and said it was her favorite restaurant when she used to live in the area. I was not particularly impressed. The service was ok and the atmosphere felt very similar to a chain restaurant (a la Red Lobster). The fish was good but not outstanding. I much preferred the fish... More

The Fish Market is consistently good. Their food is decent and reasonably priced. Nothing is greasy unlike Red Lobster (or Red Butter as we like to call it). We have been coming here for years and eat here every few months. Never had a bad meal and the waitstaff has always been pleasant. Good, no nonsense family restaurant.

There was a lot of buz about going to the fish market for a meal and we did. Service was okay food did not march the hype, a little disappointed.

Excellent food and excellent service. A little pricey for a casual restaurant, but maybe that is what things cost these days.

We have never had a bad experience here and have gone many, many times over the years. The food is good with many choices and reasonable prices. It is very kid friendly and we have had some of the best service that we have had in the San Diego area. The atmosphere is a bit plain but seems appropriate for... More

This was our 2nd time here as my wife insisted (and I agreed) this must be one of our stops while in California and the food & service was as good as when we were here 6 years ago. Large family get together was accommodated with excellent service. With this many people in our party our menu selections were quite... More

Great fresh seafood and a good value compared to the many restaurants in the area. They have an amazing fresh seafood market that is worth stopping by and bringing home some fish to grill.

Whenever I stay at the Winners Circle Resort (next door), I always walk over to The Fish Market a few times that week and get a quart of clam chowder, hot sourdough bread & butter to go. OUTSTANDING! They also have a full bar, an oyster bar, and a terrific menu.

My husband and I were very disappointed with the quality of the dinner and the service. My husband placed his order of the cipino with pasta and the waitress forgot to have the pasta added to his dish so she brought to him separtley. My bucket of clams and mussels broth tasted like tap water and so did the steamed... More
