Love the nautical decor as it is a fine accompaniment to the food. We started with the Wok Charred Edamame, which is a nice twist on the steamed version. The calamari was good but nothing special. One of us had the Sushi Sampler as her meal and liked it. The pan fried tilapia was a nice portion and quite tasty.... More

We ate here a couple of times for dinner during oue stay at the Winners Circle Resort (Next door). Fabulous selection of seafood prepared pefectly (Great Swordfish) and since my wife and I have allergies they cooked the food to meet our needs. A friendly staff and location right across from the Del Mar Racetrack make this an ideal stop... More

This is the best place to go before or after the races...the food is wonderful. I've had clams with linguini were great (lunch) and the lobster was huge at dinner...since we are from Tx and NM we try and eat fish while on the coast ***** a good bet ; )

Never having been to the Fish Market, we went for lunch after receiving high recommendation from another foodie. The bread, which everyone raves about, was excellent but the food went downhill from there. The fish and chips combo (fish, shrimp and scallops) was a disaster that could not be saved by the otherwise good chips. The panko coating on the... More

We ate there on a Wednesday evening and took advantage of the "early catch" menu (as recommended by someone else on TripAdvisor). The menu runs Mon-Thurs from 4pm - 6pm and includes around 7 items all for $14 each, which given the quality is simply outstanding. We had the fish and chips, which I have to say were some of... Been here many times. If you like fish you'll like The Fish Market especially since it's still reasonably priced.

Seafood in San Diego is expensive. Obviously, plenty of people can afford it because The Fish Market is always packed and it's a great choice for the area. My go-to move here though, is the white clam chowder to go. A quart is $8.25 and comes with a loaf of warm, fresh sourdough bread. It's the best New England Clam... More
