Good, quick Mexican food

I guess technically it's fast food, but it's much better than most burger joints. Similar to a Baja Fresh, there are good tacos and burritos. A small salsa bar allows you to customize your meal. Beer and wine available

I've been to a lot of Rubios, but I must say, this may be my favorite one ever. Parking is easy inside of the plaza, the food was well prepared, everything was explained thoroughly, like how big the guacamole is, etc. The kids were able to order their plain chicken tacos with only cheese to order! And the fish taco... More

Great little place with tastfully healthy food. The prices were easy on the pocketbook and the decor was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to even clean off our plates, which is usually something you do yourself. If you are lucky, you can sit by the fish tank. A well maintained salt tank... More

Went there for lunch. Wow, food was really, really good. Lunch size servings (just right). Will really look for other Rubio's around our area, and be sure to go back to this one.

We usually really like Rubios but this location was really lacking. From the limited seating, to the low quality of the food.... we were very disappointed! We didn't go back and we usually eat at Rubios several times when in San Diego visiting.

Rubio's is a chain in Southern California. It is quick & fresh. Nice salsa bar. Comfortable local eatery

I love Mexican food. This chain is good but it is a chain restaurant. If you come here to eat try the fish tacos...it is their claim to fame

I often go for the Ma and Pa places when it comes to fish tacos...so I stumbled upon this Rubio's on my last trip, and it was even better than I remembered.

There IS one place better than Rubio's.. and that is the Encinitas Fish House. But the two can;t really be compared. Rubio's is quick, inexpensive and very consistent. Try the Mango Habanero Mahi-Mahi Tacos. Best tacos this side of Rosarito.
