Nautical Inn is the place to go for special occasions. Food is excellent. I had lamb and my husband had the shrimp. Their appetizers are great but didn't have any this time.Usually don't get the desserts because their meals are so filling. As an extra BONUS we got to enjoy the whales that were putting on quite a show.

The food, ambiance, and view of the ocean are all incredible. You can't find better in Del Norte County.

We had dinner there on Friday night and frankly were a little disappointed. I ordered the seafood platter with scallops, fish, shrimp and oysters, all grilled instead of fried. The amount of seafood on the dish was not what one would expect for $28.00. They could have put a few more shrimp and scallops for it to fill in the... More

Great view but so-so food. Mediocre service. "Whoops. Sorry I forgot to bring your drinks." Clam chowder was barely edible. Tiramisu was 90% whipped cream.

Casual or dress up attire is appropriate for this great restaurant. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere with soft music. They open at 4pm. The building sits down from Highway 101, on the Ocean side, so drive slowly or you will miss it. This was a birthday meal for my wife. The waitress made the occasion very special & provided a complementary... More

The bartender was super friendly and helpful! We were there for taco Tuesday--$2.50 for a fish or shrimp taco. Yum! The couple who came in right after we sat down, were greeted by name and the bartender proceeded to fix their drinks without an order. Nice to be remembered! The food/drink was very well priced and good. I would definitely... More

From 1993 to 2005, this was our favorite fine-dining restaurant in the Brookings-Smith River area. In fact, it was about the only place in the area that could be considered "fine-dining." We'd been away from the area for 7 years, and the restaurant had been through a fire and new ownership, but at our most recent visit, it was as... More

This is a great restaurant for fish entrees, clam chowder, great service, and full ocean view. We had cod in a wine sauce, and it was one of the best seafood meals we have had in a long time. The server was friendly. Everything was perfect. We will return there.

This is where i want to go on special occasions because the food is so delicious. No pre packaged pre frozen food here folks. It is a little bit pricey but I feel you get what you pay for. I highly recommend the chef's choice ribeye. That's what I normally order. They do it different every time. Just skip the... More

Hadn't been here for years. Still love it. Ate in the bar area to hear the piano player, who was excellent and also took requests. Fresh seafood dinners. I had the scallops and they were killer! The mrs loved the grilled salmon. Good salads. Great desert. Loved everything, highly recommend.
