Went Monday for the prime rib. The cost is nearly $23. per person. The meat wasn't high quality, and 1/2 of it was either fat or grissle. You could have all the sides you wanted, however, who would want them? Steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, (out of a box?) potatoes au gratin, (not good), cold rolls, and a salad... More

We don't like to search for restaurants once we have reached our hotel so always appreciate on-site restaurants. The food here is good, service is good, prices are reasonable. We had both breakfast and dinner and both meals were delicious.

There are some things good and bad about the restaurant at Howonquet. The bad would be that the food is so so but sometimes it's not cooked they way you like it and have to send it back. I ordered a simple hamburger. It came out completely raw and cold in the middle. I send it back and it came... More

The staff was professional and friendly. The food was very good. The only disappointment was on Monday the breakfast was a buffet which I don't like, but the waitress was able to get us fresh cooked eggs the way we like them. That was a big plus. Overall I would eat there again and recommend it.

If you are staying at the hotel, a full breakfast is included in your room rate. Dinner menu is upscale and such reasonable rates.

I've yet to have a good meal there. The salad bar is skimpy, often the salad is wilted. I once had a french dip there, and I opened up the bun to make sure there was no fat, I found meat with a big artery sitting on top. The milk shakes are terrible as well. I will never eat there... More

No, that’s not a typo. The “Surf-n-turf” dish was definitely “Surf-n-tough”. The steak was not the best cut of meat, and it was quite tough. However, the lobster portion was good. We also ordered nachos, which weren’t made correctly the first time they came out. Then on their second attempt, the cheese wasn’t melted. Overall, we were not very impressed... More

I think they are still figuring out how to staff the restaurant. I felt that the food was very good and the service was excellent, but they were understaffed at the time. The employees seemed to truly understand customer service.
