Great food in informal setting

I had tasted some shawarma by Alibaba in a company lunch and I wanted to go here. Before I entered, I expected a more formal setting given the good rating of this place. However, I knew that the food is good since I had already tasted some. I was told to seat myself but a server appeared with... read more

So if you are looking for hummus and shawarma look no further. This is a good place to go for lunch. The food is consistent and the portions are generous. It's a good spot to talk shop with your colleagues. This is not an intimate restaurant. Good for out of town visitors, guests and colleagues.

This small family owned Restaurant has wonderful food at very reasonable prices. My favorite dish is the the Swarma Chicken Salad. It's large enough to feed two people. Their lentil soup is also delicious. Give this Restaraunt a try if your in Simi Valley! It's worth it!

This gem of a restaurant is tucked away on the road to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. It is owned by a Palestinian, some of the waiters are Jewish, and the product is a wonderful culinary experience. You must try the pickled veggies, mint tea, swarma (chicken and beef), moussaka (call ahead so it is ready when you... More

My husband was in the mood for Middle Eastern Food and I recommended Ali Baba Cafe. He had beef shwarma and ate evey bit. I had the falafel plate and took home most of the salad that came on the plate because I filled up on the falafel pitas that I made. We will definitley return.

I'm Middle-Eastern so my comparison is different than most others. For Americans I think this is pretty good Middle-Eastern food. But compared to my Mom's cooking it's okay. One of their dishes however is super good. Their potato and ground beef casserole. I believe they call it "Mousaka" but I'm not positive.

14 hour day coming from canada, checked into best western on medera in simi valley (near reagan library), went looking for anything takeout to retreat back to room... saw baba's but immediately decided to eat-in pursuant to exceptionally friendly greeting and welcoming ambience... we shared a small Baba Ghanoush (probably best i've ever had) and then both had lamb (Shawarma... Our server, Matt, was delightful. He was friendly and attentive. He knew the menu well and made suggestions based on his own favorites with consideration to whether we felt like having a symphony of spices or the quality of the meat. We chose the lamb kebobs. The meat was perfectly cooked and it melted in our mouths. Additionally we had... More
