Loved our waiter. He handled 12 tables without missing a beat. Funny. Engaging. Restaurant in a strip center with wonderful spices and a much larger dining room than you would think. Good size portions and great price. We ordered dinner for two and have leftovers for snacking.

We were jonesing for Greek or Mediterranean food fortunately my husband remembered that my sister in law mentioned a good one in Simi Valley. So we called her, got the directions, and went. Madera and Royal (not in the Albertson's complex but one across the street from there). From the outside the restaurant looks pretty small, but is actually bigger... More

We chose this place because of the #1 ranking...it did not disappoint. Yes, it is in a strip mall as a previous reviewer mentioned, but don't let the outside fool you. Very good quality food and great server who guided us in portion size, etc. He was extremely friendly and helpful. We wanted to try the falafel and chicken shawarma,... More

I ate at Ali Baba Cafe based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the portions large, and the prices were reasonable. The waitress was glad to substitute extra rice for the vegetables. Many places say no to any substitutions. The only negative for me is that this restaurant is a little too far... More

If you're looking for a restaurant that has delicious food, look no further. This restaurant is great. I've been eating here since it opened a few years ago and come almost every week. The employees are friendly and make everyone feel welcome. The food is spectacular. I usually get the chicken shawarma dinner, which is my favorite, but I have... More

As a full time resident of the Middle East for almost 20 years, I had my doubts about how this Simi Valley restaurant would compare to restaurants in Cairo or Damascus or Beirut, for example. I was also intrigued by it's rating as the #1 restaurant in Simi Valley, so off we went. Just two blocks from the Best Western... More

As the tittle says my coworkers and I ate there last night. Great food done well. Knowledgeable and very attentive staff. Moderately priced, good quality, fresh food. Three men with... apps + sodas + entrees = under 60.00 I highly recommend it.

We found Ali Baba through Trip Advisor and decided to try it after visiting the nearby Reagan Library. It was an excellent choice. We had the Lamb Shawarma sandwich and the Coconut Curry with Shrimp. The curry had a generous amount of large shrimp and included a delicious salad. The waitress was friendly and the owner was very gracious. After... More
