This is a nice enough place, but I expect a fish house to know how to cook fish. My mahi-mahi was overdone and dry, tough enough to do as it is a moist fish. Service was fine, as was atmosphere. Nothing to write home about.

I'll keep it short and sweet. Good food and good service. Better than average, but not the best. Great menu choices. I'd definitely return to try more menu items.
Unlike many of the other reviews, mine will not really be positive. Both my wife and I have trveled extensively, and a partial to "southern cooking", so I was in the mood for some catfish, which is on their menu. Catfish has a distinct flavor, but the catfish at the market broiler not only did not have a distinct flavor,...

This place is great! Everything about it, I love! The ambiance is very nice & the servers are great!
The sour dough bread is fantastic & the New England Clam Chowder is amazing. I usually stick to the clam chowder & a salad, (the chicken ceaser is the best you'll ever have) but I have ordered fish & chips &...

I've been going since it opened, there were a few kinks but the food is mazing and always have had great servers. Will keep going, one of my favorites in Simi!
We were in town from New England and (I have to admit!) thought twice about dining at a seafood place as we have pretty high expectations when it comes to seafood! But, we were very pleasantly surprised with our dining experience at Market Broiler!
We arrived on a Friday evening at close to 8pm and were seated right away. Our...

Whenever we're in the mood for fish this is our go-to place. Service is always excellent. The place is spotless. The food is fantastic--perfectly cooked fish EVERY TIME! Eat here with confidence!
My husband and I tried to go to lunch on a rare day off together. Unfortunately we picked Market Broiler. The place was virtually empty yet it took 5 minutes to seat us. Then another 10 for our waitress to appear, with no smile or apology. We ordered steamers and they arrived 15 minutes later cold. The waitress dropped and...

We dined here on a whim as we were in the area. A seafood place is hard to find in these parts and this one looked great down to the fresh seafood case for fish purchases.
.
Wait was only a few minutes so we decided to go to the bar for a beer. Fast service but a wet landing...

This place looked intriguing from the outside, but the overall experience was unremarkable. The decor was typical nautical and reminded me of restaurants from the '70s. The lighting was either too dark or too harsh. We sat in an area lit up like a used car lot. The menu was large enough and had most of the usual seafood/steak offerings,...
