Went Back

Had dinner with friends. Good food, good service and ok pricing. Menu selection was great. Enjoyed it enough that I went back for breakfast the next day before I left area.

This is a gem of a restaurant in an out of the way area with few other good options for "real" food. Their pork chop dinner was amazing. Absolutely the best pork chop ever! Unless you're absolutely starved, order the single chop. They offer two, but one is huge! The chicken Cesar salad was typical. They also have their own... More

I had the biggest steak I have ever eaten and it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was lovely and my friend had the fish which was awesome.

A great place to eat with nice atmosphere and good food at a reasonable price. One of the few places to eat in Sierra City with their own trout pond outside and cabins to rent on the river.

My wife and I were just driving through looking for a place to stay and eat on a thursday evening. What a nice surprise to find Herrington's. Very nice restaurant with historic charm. They have a fine dining menu, with pricing to match, but the food was excellent. We had calamari steak and jumbo shrimp served to perfection. Breakfast the... More

For years, as a kid, Sierra Buttes Inn was the place for dinner. Many years later, Doc & Eddie are gone, and that Inn is a shambles. Herrington's is modern for Sierra City, rustic cabinesque. It is busy especially on weekends, and for good reason. The food is good. The service is friendly and fast. And to work off your... More

I kept hearing how great this restaurant was. I was good. The seafood chowder was wonderful, however I did not order it, I had a bland watery salad. My husband order the filet wrapped in bacon and the bacon was close to raw and could not be eaten, however the rest was good. I ordered the halibut, a bit dry... More

I've been to the upper and lower cabins. I enjoy them both and it is very friendly. We went down to the river after our last stay and did a little gold panning. We did find a few flakes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Herrington's Sierra Pines Resort Restaurant. My husband had the salmon cakes special and I had the Filet of Sole Amandine. Fortunately, we both chose to have baked potatoes, which were unusually good. The salad itself wasn't anything special, but I liked the sun-dried tomato vinaigrette. We had noticed the blackberry bushes growing down near... More
